Integrity. Integrity is WKS FIRST value. This means doing WHAT IS RIGHT not only what is expected by guidelines. I worked for Denny's for 19yrs under a franchise QK, the last 11 of this as management and GM. Wks took over several years ago and boasted their value system with integrity right up there. We modeled this as management. Everytime a guest had an issue, we corrected it. No questions, never said they were wrong. Just made it right for the guest. Even when guests were rude called us names we held the companies integrity value and treated them how we would want to be treated because it was the right thing to do. Throughout the pandemic we worked with guests who refused to follow covid protocol like masks etcetera, however we had to put ourselves at risk because the company forced us to allow unmasked guests. Any time a complaint went to corporate they would bend over backwards to give the guest whatever they wanted. Discounts, free meals etcetera. I left the company after 19yrs to relocate to another state with 183 hours pto accumulated throughout my 19yrs. Relying on this money to relocate i was told wks isn't paying it out simply because "they don't have to". New Mexico state law doesn't require it. Without this money my family has been left scrambling for the money to relocate. Selling our belongings. Furniture, vehicles, just to make the money I EARNED THROUGH MY YEARS. What happened to this "integrity" you speak of. How can someone work for your company for literal decades and you still do not pay out a benefit they've EARNED, simply because "you don't have to", and still say you have integrity. Might I add I know 100% fact that QK paid out vacation for quitting or termed employees. NO QUESTIONS. Wks only worries about their bottom line. Their profits. Not their people. This review will not change anything. I've reached out to the the top people in the company including the ceo. No one has returned a message. They treat you like you don't exist.
