Witter Towbars Reviews

Manufacturerers of strong and useful towbars. I've owned various vehicles with this company's towbars fitted and they were all trouble free, unlike the bangers they were attached to.

I spoke to Steve in technical support I needed some captive nuts to fit tow bar to my peugeot 207 he could not have been more helpful first class service.

Good product but customer service rubbish, no reply yet or even acknowledgement to an e-request yesterday or email today.

AVOID AT ALL COST! Towbar arrived with fitter who had apparently checked it. However, it was badly scratched in transit from Witter (zip tied main parts metal on metal - very poor QC) with the worst quality powder coat I have ever seen (bubbled and already showing rust). He expected to fit it anyway to which I refused even after he said that he wouldn't want that on his van. Customer Service at Witter was even worse. They made no apology for my loss of wages for the day booked off and wasted through them sending a damaged product. When I tried to resolve the matter through arranging a new date (fool that I am) they said they did not want to and would only offer a refund which doesn't help if you still need a tow bar. Terrible company that can't communicate properly, use 2nd rate fitters and supply damaged goods without offer of resolution. Spend your money with them if you dare-I've cut my losses and certainly won't be and would far from recommend them to anyone. Shocking.

I have spoken with Witter on four occasions concerning delivery of an out of stock tow bar but then found one on their site on Ebay, 48 hour delivery. 24 hours later received an e-mail cancelling the order as out of stock! Back to Witter, i think the person i spoke to was half asleep. i had to keep asking him if he was still there! Gave up & phoned back & got another person who confirmed they could not say when they would receive a delivery! Pretty disgusting considering Witter fly such a 'huge personal flag' over customer service & having them made in Romania speaks volumes. Should have kept manufacturing in house in the UK! then it would be only a matter of walking onto the factory floor for the answer..

I had a problem with a westfalia tow bar fitted on a 'new to me' but used car. I spoke to Scott and he gave me great advice on what caused the issue and how to resolve it. Rare these days you get that level of customer service.
