Pretty disappointed to book a ticket/lesson/rental package and then find out at the end of the lesson, that it wasn't possible to get any freeriding in because the rental needed to be returned immediately, unless an additional fee was paid.

An unfortunate experience! The park village area is under construction - necessary I am sure, but very unfortunate for the paying customer. We ve been coming to winter park for years - most often in the winter. It is clear that s where the money is; must be considering the state of things this summer. The DH program is run by kids who I assume can t wait for their shift to be over so they can ride - understandable considering the environment. Your best bet is to spend big money on rentals and lessons - this appears to be the only approach where someone who understands the established system will help you. Otherwise, you are on your own. Third bike park this year - definitely the worst.

This is the spot to ride a bike. I love coming here each summer and shredding their dirt. The jumps are clean for the most part. Lots of braking bumps, still get the air you need though. Love the variety of trial terrain we ride the whole mountain and the difficulty varies from trail to trail. Work up to the bigger stuff. We usually make a long weekend of it and that s enough to fill the tank. Lots of fun

I've mountain bike for years but I've never gone downhill mountain biking. The difference is you take a ski lift up and on your way down your pretty much using your brakes the whole time. The effect is quite extraordinary as most of time you're concentrating on not going too fast. The trails are from beginner to expert. We had a few beginner mountain bikers with us and they managed well. Stick to the green trails if your new, blue and black if you want to challenge yourself. As you're going down the mountain you stop and take a break and are basically blown away by the scenery. Plenty of eating options in the little village of Winter Park, with Mexican, American traditional, and BBQ to name a few. We even rounded out the trip with a massage from walk-in massage clinic located in the village. Last but not least - if you don't bring bikes - you can rent excellent bikes there for a reasonable price. The bikes are front and rear shock equipped and fitted exactly to your height and weight. Along with the rental of the bike you can rent a helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, shoes, gloves, chest, shoulder, and back pads if desired.

It is an incredible experience and they do a great job of maintaining and monitoring the trails! I will go back there again and again and again! Thanks Trestle Mountain Biking Park, for the time of my life!

Great trails, helpful and friendly staff, and excellent amenities as well. The trail system offers a very good progression system. The bike shop at the base is awesome for emergency repairs or parts.

Visited Trestle with two of my brothers on a slow Monday in late July (2017). I've done lots of biking (BMX & MTB), but never downhill. This place was AWESOME! I had been looking forward to it for weeks preceding our visit to CO and it did not disappoint. The rental process took a bit longer than I would have liked, but nearly everyone was friendly.
I opted for the "DEMO" rental package and spent the morning on one bike, then the afternoon on another. My brothers both took the standard rentals. We did some switching throughout the day and I'd certainly recommend spending the extra $30 on the DEMO pkg. Both bikes were definitely lighter and just felt better than the standard Giants. In the end, we all had a terrific time ripping down the blues and even trying a few of the blacks. Highly recommended if you're in the area!

Awesome awesome bike park. It was my first time here and I went yesterday (Monday). It was not crowded at all and no line to get my lift ticket. It had rained the night before so the dirt was so smooth and tacky until around 2pm. The braking bumps seemed to be non existent until that time too. The blue trails are a ton of fun but probably a bit much for a beginner. The green trails are fun and have killer berms but also probably much for a beginner. Black trails generally have rollable featured so not too bad. Overall it was a great experience and a ton of fun!!!

Such an amazing experience. My buddies and I rented downhill bikes and did an AM half day. Besides the mountain and trails being excellent the rental and ticket staff were super helpful and made the experience that much better. Definitely coming back!

The best! Lift lines move quickly, the trails are well groomed and flow well. The jumps are fantastic. Most lines have a ride-around for the big features or are rollable for the less experienced riders.

I took a half day lesson and was really glad I did. It helped me progress and also gave me a nice introduction to the park. We will definitely be getting season passes next year!

PS wear a full face helmet and pads or risk a bruised and bloody face. Trust me

This used to be a downhill bike park. Now its a jerry flow bro lift access enduro park. Whens the last time you built a trail like trestle downhill? Where is there a trail inbetween diffiiculty of 36th chamber and banana peel? They cater to blue riders because that is where the money is. In bike rentals and day tickets. Not season passes and people who own their own bike. Id rather drive 4 1/2 hrs and go ride angel fire.

Traffic getting up to the mountains was a bit rough. Once there the ticket center was moving very quickly and efficiently. They had about 6 or 7 windows open. The ride up on the gondola was quick and easy. The trails are in great shape and the staff working the lifts was super cool and friendly. Can't wait to go back!

Best downhill in the State as far as I'm concerned. Great flow, technical, a huge variety of trestles, not super busy, and lots and and lots of territory to explore. I can't think of a park with a bigger or nicer downhill....

As long as you stay out of their rental shop this place is pretty good. I've been here twice, had a bad experience both times in the shop but good times on the trails. The shop is filled with burnout lifties armed with screwdrivers. Their rental bikes are in terrible shape and the process is slow, staff dont care at all but thats to be expected in a resort town. Trails were good but the more popupar trails are blown out. Do some damn trail work and repair your trails! It would be nice if they had more than one blue trail on the front side, gotta go down the same blown out chunder every time.

The staff respects your safety and is always masked. They also require guests to be masked in lift lines and near staff. The flow trails well give you so much confidence, you'll think that you can ride better than you do. Be careful, riding these well maintained and designed trails is contagious.

came to ride for a day and they closed the lift due to thunder. They make everyone wait 70 minutes before they give you a rain check... a bit ridiculous for a place that barley maintains their trails.

Dear Trestle: You are my local mountain, and I lov...

Dear Trestle: You are my local mountain, and I love you, but there are so many things about you that I don't understand... With each passing year your trail network expands, and although this may sound great on paper, the majority of us feel cheated by all these buffed out new trails. Many people come and ride just to have fun, I get that. But there is also a large number of people who look to have more than fun on the bike. We want to see improvement in our skill set. We want to scare ourselves and push the limits. Where's the raw, gnarly areas where you can put your life on the line? Where are the actual Black Diamond trails that deter parents with their children from riding them? National Champs are being held at Trestle this year and something needs to be done! A perfect venue for Enduro, but Downhill, not so sure. I know what you're thinking, "How could I be in love after a rant like this?" Well Trestle, I do love you, and I want to see you be the best you can be. Promoting to the Beginner/Family rider may bring in more money, which is the ultimate goal of business, but damn I wish you would quit targeting the Weekend Warrior and do more for the Die Hards.

P.S. You have the most ridiculous lightning holds. The only place in the World where you can get a sun burn while waiting for the lifts to open due to "bad weather."

It s been 11 years since I rode a mountain bike. Getting lost in the routine of life makes you forget the fun stuff sometimes. Now I m gonna bike till my fat beer gut falls off and I see David Hasselhoff when I look in the mirror. Trestle makes that possible.

Amazing down hill park!!! So pretty only reason why it's not five stars is because the food is VERY expensive it was 14 dollars for a cheap burger and a bag of chips on the barbecue I could have made at home for 5. So I would recommend packing a lunch if possible. Also try not to bring valuables into the park it costs like $10 for a locker for the day!

I spend A LOT of time at this bike park. It has some amazing riding, it's my favorite park and my favorite place to ride based on the trail variety and terrain. I get a season pass every year and generally get 10+ days a year riding there.

That said, the politics here are getting incredibly frustrating. The fact that they won't let you try on the clothing in the store, but allow you to buy it, go outside, immediately try it on, and then return it if it doesn't fit demonstrates without a doubt that their reaction is strictly political, and not actually about safety.

They demand people wear masks in a socially distanced outdoor line, all while the person demanding it has his nose hanging out of his own mask; again, politics, not safety. They expect you to put a mask on in line even if your face is covered by your helmet; again, politics, not safety. It saddens me that the resort management is so dedicated to politics, and not safety, that their irrational response is making the park less enjoyable. This last weekend, a lifty stopped the lift because a ~10 year old child didn't have their mask on at the pick-up point, 3 feet after which they can take the mask off; again, politics not safety. The same lifty let an even smaller kid get drug 30 feet out dangling from his bike on the lift before he finally stopped the lift.

Not only are the politics bad, but the resort as a whole is really poorly run. They don't manage it well, from the trail building/maintenance to the lodging. They keep adding new runs while they haven't touched the bottom part in years. All of the runs that get you to the base are so worn down having not been touched in years that they are even fun to ride.

It's unfortunate that the riding is so good here and that there're few alternatives, so you're either stuck just accepting their political impositions or limiting your riding. I already bought my season pass and I will definitely ride, but I will make it a goal to spend much less money on the actual resort.

5 starts for the actual riding, 1 star for the politics, 1 star for the management, averages out to 2 stars.

For being my first time riding downhill, it was an amazing experience. I was set up with a bike/armor rental, and took a Trestle 101 entry course, and was treated like a big fat noob should be treated. Once I found my pedals, I was one of two people in the 'proficient' group, a class of 20 people. In less than two hours, I felt comfortable on long trail, a blue trail. At the end of the day, arms tired, back worn, head shaken, it is still one of the most fun things I've done in my life. Trestle's awesome.

Update: Went back again for a two day sesh, and couldn't be happier. Fast and easy bike rentals and gear, and great black trails. Only thing that kinda sucks is the main lift stopped working for about 15 minutes two times in a row. Otherwise, a fantastic place for good slopestyle MTB (only legit technical trail I went on was Double Jeopardy)

One of the best bike parks I've been to in the country. There is plenty of elevation and diversity of trails to keep someone happy all season. Hours are awesome and the staff are great! I'm hoping all of the construction will be finished for the 2019 season and looking forward to some new trails!

Great fun and lots of trails. But the signage is pretty horrible. Sometimes it's great, but lots of times you'll be following a green, get to a fork, and there's no indication where to go. Or the trail names change and you have no clue how you got off the original trail. Definitely a fun, exhausting day. Highly recommended.

This place is amazing! The staff is very nice and helpful, the lifts were clean, the trails are awesome. Christian that we hired for lessons was above and beyond nice with bike talk and even knowledgeable about the area and nature. He was great with my 7 year old son. I can t wait to go back next year.
