I proposed to my wife here 19 and a half years ago. Glad to come back and celebrate the best decision I ever made. I wish I'd have listened to the guy in the pro shop about not trying to teach someone you love to snowboard, at least she still said yes.
We needed a summer getaway from the heat. Enjoyed walking through downtown and visiting the shops. Concert one evening in town at the open air venue.
Amazing fun time with kids and grandkids. Alpine slide is a must. Small kids had a rope course, rock climb and boundless energy.
We loved every second of our fall visit to winter park! Compared to the other big name parks in Colorado (Breck, Vail) this was the place for me and my family. So much great food to be found. The grocery store was not expensive at all (next time I'll just do most of the condo shopping there). And the aspen tree views on the way in are absolutely breathtaking! I love fly fishing and we asked some locals for some guidance that ended up being a trek up and down some small mountains carrying the 7 month on in the hiking pack was very helpful for that one! But a nice secluded spot we found and my day was made!! See you soon my mountain friends!!
What a beautiful place! Even in the summer. They had fun things to do, it was just a super nice place. Now, the furniture could use some updating.. sofa was from 1980 for sure, but the room was clean and tidy and they had 2 drawers full of games in case the weather was bad. So much fun to be had here! Will certainly come again. Only downfall, we arrived on a Sunday and it appeared to be a ghost town. No food, no activities, just quiet..... food after a long trip would have been a nice touch.
Very pretty mountain town with several outdoor activities. We used the scenic gondola and went to the top of the mountain. We also ate at an amazing pizza place.
I went with my cousin mountain biking at this park and wow what a very nice experience! I had to rent a bike for a pretty decent price which included all gears plus a good mountain bike. As a beginner the tracks are pretty doable as long as you take your own pace.
I do recommend that you have some one check your suspension if you are renting one as it might be quite stiff when they give to it. You want a lot of suspension as possible which will help with the bumpy tracks :)
Great place to spend the day on a mountain. The customer service associate s are first class. There are all the popular snow sports are accommodated here. Very family friendly. A visit to the top is rewarded with great vistas, and a place to get beverages and food.
Prices are average, and crowding is not bad here. The town has several hotels if you don't choose the hotel on site. Great restaurants are in town, and even popular fast food places. Good place to visit.
Pretty cool during the summer too. They have an unlimited activity pass that gives you unlimited rides on the Alpine slide, the gondola, a mini golf course, a rock climbing wall, and two ropes courses. I didn't do the wall or the ropes, they looked like they were for little kids. Maybe they're not, but that's why I didn't. Anyways, $59 if you buy at least 2 days before you go up. I thought it was worth it. Alpine slide was fun and the gondola was cool too.
This place is fantastic. I started skiing here in 1995. I drove 2 hours from Colorado Springs and thought is was well worth it. Just a great place...tree runs, moguls, double-black diamonds. On Thanksgiving, day it's not crowded and it feels like you have it to yourself.
Such a fun bike place and I loved the trail rainmaker! There ER staff is also amazing! My dad got injured and had to go there and they took x-rays and everything! Their alpine slide is also a blast but be careful it s easy to tip!!
