On January 9th, 2013 I fell off of one of our box trucks being clumsy and broke my wrist. Never having broke anything I said "oh its just a sprain". I sent one of our employees to CVS for a splint, ice pack and some advil. After a night of RICE I realized it was much more serious and I got to where I was ready to cry. I went to Urgent Care for an XRAY the next day and was told we need to get you to an orthopedic doc TODAY! This was at 3:30PM The nurses at the urgent care were great but the couldn't find anyone who would take me because of my HIGH deductible. Who doesn't take cash in ADVANCE? Apparently a lot of practices don't. Winston Bone and Joint agreed to take me right before they closed, gave me a cash discount of 25%, and the nurses and Dr. Tomberlin were nothing short of 1st Class. Its unfortunate for anyone who needs to see a Doctor, but if you ever need a Orthopedic Doctor in Winston-Salem, this is the place to go.
