Doctor never tested for covid even though I presented with many symptoms. She adamantly stated it was probably just lyme disease and to follow up with my Dr for treatment. I went to Manchester memorial hospital a few days later where they tested me immediately and I tested positive. Due to the lack of proper medical care provided by the emergency room staff, I potentially infected countless people who otherwise would not have been exposed.
I ve been multiple times for x-rays and the staff have been great! Never condescending, and always friendly, even considering they probably have a lot to deal with. Today I was in the ER for some severe shoulder pain, nausea, and a few other things. The woman who dealt with registration (unfortunately I forget her name) was extremely friendly and made a positive first impression. Since it was 5AM, I got in pretty quick, and I received care right away. My compliments to the doctors, nurses, and techs who took blood samples, checked my vitals, and explained what they thought was going on. The hospital was clean and the beds were comfortable. I didn t have to deal with crazy long waits or any rude staff. I couldn t ask for any more from a hospital. Highly recommend, especially compared to other nearby hospitals.

The emergency room staff were amazing. I have never been to the emergency room before so I was scared and they made me feel very comfortable. I didn t have to wait long in the waiting room. I don t know his name but a man driving a jeep that works in that department was so nice and explained everything to me. I found out later I was suffering from CO2 poisoning and I am so grateful for all there help.
I am always impressed with the professionalism, efficiency, and effectiveness of the doctors, nurses, and staff at Windham Hospital. They are an essential part of the community, one that provides both care and education. My spouse and I have had both small and large issues addressed at the hospital, and we are relived by its reliability--and we are grateful that it's staying strong.
Went into the ER because of anxiety/panic attacks that been lasting for days straight along with dehydration from the vomiting the anxiety was causing. After telling several nurses my symptoms & dehydration & weight loss I been experiencing. She tells me that they will send me to a room & get a EKG done. Sadly nothing was done during this visit. I never got an IV, never got the EKG, they told me I was gonna be speaking with a behavioral specialist which turned out to be a regular social worker that just wanted to make sure that I didn t wanna kill myself. They only thing they did was a urine test to make sure I was pregnant? And finally a doctor who spent maybe 2 minutes in the room to just check my heart & lungs. Had zero concern for the symptoms I had, zero concern that I was dehydrated & also severely underweight that it was beyond apparent. The care team at this hospital made me feel even worse about my conditions then before I went in. This hospital treats mental health as a joke & if you ever ever say anything about anxiety before your other symptoms they treat you like a burden throughout the whole visit. Best part about this whole visit is that I was sharing a room with another patient & the other patient even complained of similar symptoms. She got an iv & got several nurses that came in to check up on her every 30 min. I couldn t even get a simple blanket as I had my poor little brothers hoodie on my body trying to keep me warm while I hear the nurse in the next room over say to the girl oh hey would you like a blanket? . The whole experience made me realize that not only how much they didn t care about mental health but how differently they treat you from everyone else. Won t ever go here again
I only wish I got it on video a nurse telling me if I don't take a medication I am allergic to I will be discharged from the hospital and removed I absolutle hate this place ....it might be good for some but for people who suffer from chronic conditions they wont care about you at all and its too bad they are rhe closest hospital to my home ...be careful because they have released many more times than once in critical condition and need another emergency room in order not to die ....they have made me rethink using the whole emergency system all together along with condescending doctors and nurses alike along with security escorting me off the property while very sick
Expect to be in radiology for at least 1.5 hour after your scheduled appointment time. The maternity ward is closed which may be good since then nurses were not friendly at all. The nurses also wake you up at all hours for anything any everything. All of the staff at the woman's center is not friendly or personable, they also have no communication with the rest of the office.
Most nurses were very nice and friendly. You get no sleep they make sure to keep you up. I ve been up for 24+ hours and now I need to change rooms and it s not ready. I ve been waiting for 3hrs.
For a hospital with terrible ratings they certainly don t skimp on the price. My husband went for an ultrasound of his heart and they charged us 3500 dollars. I looked their prices up compared to other hospitals in the state and they are the second most expensive in the entire state! Next time I will drive to Yale which is a better hospital and has prices half of what they charge at Windham. For the life of me I can not understand why anyone would chose to go here. Rest assured we won t be back. The only time we will go is if we are unable to chose and an ambulance is bringing us, and I pray I am never in that boat. What a scam!!!
