We held an event here for our business this summer. Virtually all the guests (95%locals) didn't know it was there and it was universally praised, fabulous views of the lake, great grounds and a lovely building. The catering was also spot on

The food was excellent, the service, considering social distancing guidelines, unfussy and the staff worked above and beyond.
I hope we can return one day to enjoy the relaxing atmosphere again.
Lovely place a little cold but the scenery was perfect some old places to see and a great tour guide explaining all the historical places you can either sit down stairs or upstairs thats of course if its not raining oh and kids under 5 are free :-)
Went to this place for a weekend away, it is located near the lake and it's nice and quiet. Their customer service was good. The building and furniture has been maintained to its original state but some makeovers especially on upstairs floors to avoid noise when walking. Also making rooms ensuite will be great than shared bathrooms, we however didn't share on the day due to Covid -19 regulations. There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room.
Me and my wife stayed for one night at this amazing place and the hosts were very pleasant, polite and welcoming. The room was lovely and the bed was very comfortable and we didn't want to leave. The views of the lake from the terrace were breathtaking. The breakfast was delicious and the atmosphere was out of this world and so relaxing. We will definitely be returning soon.
