Wilson memorial hospital Review

Lucky to get one star from me. Too much negative from ER. There's a few good docs but mostly quacks there. I'm glad Dr Newman gone from unit now. Nothing but a trouble maker. He makes fun of ppl too. Dr Haussman is the very good one he knows what he's doing. Too bad they're not all like him. I'm glad I moved away from area though. It's very small area at that ER. Plus...there used to be a doctor Reyes who was to deliver babies at the hospital. My baby girl came too early and he knew 48 hours ahead and did nothing to try and save her. Nothing!! She lived 59 seconds died in my arms. Would now be grown. I reported him to Wilson hospital but they didn't care. Even requested a meeting with overhead group. They listened said sorry. Sorry is a word! He should have been fired. Never step foot back into that hospital.

Between the CDC, our federal, state, and local governments, and our local health professionals are all placing the Covid vaccines at a high priority, right? Today, following their website instructions, I went in for a booster shot, only to find that the nurse giving them had left early due to a family emergency (I do hope all is ok). You would think that a hospital would have a back-up plan, move another nurse etc to fill in. NOPE! Evidently Wilson does not share the same concerns over Covid as most of the country. Hard to believe that a major organization like Wilson Memorial does not have a back-up plan when someone goes home. Unbelievable!!

NP Jessica Steinke in Occupational Health was absolutely awful to me. I hurt my shoulder, and I don't ever go to the doctor for anything but I have a very physical job and at the time I couldn't even put my own hair up. She literally did nothing for me, basically called me a liar and sent me home.

Wow for a hospital that tells you you need to pay a bill they shurey don't pick up their phone or are able to at least have someone to take care of bills even the bank has a 4 hour days on Saturday.

They were nice. But they were not trust worthy, I came in for chest pain and anxiety symptoms. I didnt need anything special other than a confirmation i needed to be there. Symptoms past while starting the inital checks such as blood pressure. They do a lot of things just because they can with out any knowledge of the cost or financial repercussions to the patients. $ 600 for a saline bag. $1400 for a level V room just because you can fit the bill... A quote from the doc .."I giving you a saline drip just because most people walk around dehydrated, so.." . If i had a clue to the cost... HECK NO just give me a water ! I was downing water when i came in. I guess just stay away from ER 's in general. My one star review is the lack of help to lower the charge, lack of warning of the astronomical cost, and the lack of knowledge of the cost of the services rendered to which i feel is wrong and over price.

I remember, initial physical checks like blood pressure , then i was lead to a small room with a bed against the wall like a typical doctors office. I explained my symptoms three times to what i believe was a third person. I was given IV just because. Told them my symptoms where subsided but needed confirmation from a doctor it was panic or heart potentially. So they hooked me up to an EKG and gave me the just because answer to taking a baby aspirin. Drew blood for testing and after a short time they rolled in the xray machine snapped so pics and then was told to wait for a hour for the results. Came back with only good news and confirmation that it was likely an anxiety attack and instruction to follow up with a regulator doctor for further management. So really a pretty good experience except for not knowing the cost of things because i did ask and try to question anything as i would be on the hook for what ever the charge.

Went to Urgent Care at Wilson Health in Sidney, Ohio.
Great experience. They took me in as quick as possible, checked me out, diagnosed my condition, gave me scripts for the meds I needed, tested negative for Covid. All the help there were nice, helpful and knowledgeable. They saved me from what could have been a very serious situation. Stopped at pharmacy, filled the scripts and went home. I am now doing well thanks to them. My family Doctor was no help.

Came in both people I talked to were friendly and professional. Made me feel at ease and feel cared for. Five stars doesn't do my visit justice. Thank you and wish you all well in this crazy world nowadays.

They are slow as hell, i waited about and hour to be discharged and they are charging $50-90 FOR A COVID TEST THATS SUPPOSED TO BE FREE!! ridiculous.

This is the worst Hospital ever , The emergency room is a Laughing joke! They treat people like S*** mostly because of ones Insurance , they tell people theres nothing wrong with them or nothing they can do for you .. Are you serious right now .. Just keep on Driving to Troy or Dayton , or going other direction go to Lima ... I wouldn't even bring a animal here it's that bad the way they treat people...

They do not take anyone seriously when coming in with chest discomfort and high blood pressure. I went in with chest discomfort, BP of 179/120, resting heart rate around 140, and edema. They gave me a diuretic through the IV and discharged me. A week later I could barely walk because it hurt to breath and I was wheezing. I went to Kettering Health in Troy and I had full blown pneumonia. They said that I most likely had it when I went to Wilson Health but they didn t catch it. The employees at Kettering even told me to never go to Wilson Health. My own family doctor who works in Sidney told me to never go to Wilson Health again. Always go to Kettering. That says something.
