I want to thank Brandy so much for making my experience there easy! I was involved in a bad car accident so it was hard for me to get down to the dept of police in person. She helped me over the phone and when I got to the office she greeted me with a smile and since she knew I was in pain she made my process so speedy and efficient. Thanks again Brandy and keep up the great work!!!! Greatly appreciated!!!
Wilmington police department has been very helpful and very respectful each and every time. Thank you very much, stay safe out there.
Recently became aware of potential mail/computer fraud centered in Wilmington, DE. Tried to get information on how to appropriately report and the operator (or whoever answers the main number for the Wilmington PD) would not even listen to my explanation. They referred me to my local PD. Rude and unhelpful. Oughta consider changing that whole protect and serve motto.
At the start line for the Labor Day Parade, 09/07/2015, a man fell to the ground due to a medical crisis. The Wilmington Police on scene absolutely launched into action; performing proper CPR as trained. Minutes passed until medical arrived, but those officers weren't going to let that man go. I applaud them for that save and appreciate their efforts in Wilmington.
I just want to express my thanks after watching a WPD officer ticket a vehicle which was parked illegally in the handicap spot at Trader Joe's today. I am one who needs a handicap spot (and have the proper license plate and tag for one), and it is so frustrating to see people parking in those spots illegally, frequently, and rarely get ticketed. So, again, thank you, thank you, thank you!!
Was driving around the riverfront trying to find the nature center/bike trail, was able to ask two officers in a WPD car for directions and they actually took the time to drive to the place for me to follow them there. Really appreciate them taking the time and being very eager to help.
I met a great officer named officer Gonzalez from the Wilmington police department. I needed assistance with filing a car accident report. He was very knowledgeable and assisted me with the whole process. He went above and beyond. Great man.
The only police department that makes up their own laws in attempt to arrest you. :)
Having neighbors who know the system much better than I do and are skillful liars I find myself in a scary situation. They have twice had me arrested on the bias of provable falsehoods. Since the court process takes months this is puts me in odd position. After the second time I tried to protect myself by charging the "victim" with premeditated lying with so far discouraging results. Although it is illegal to persuade an officer to arrest another based on a lie there seems to be a rule against investigating such claims. Even a police officer who was so slandered had a hard time getting through the system. Lawyers say no one takes such cases because essentially they don't pay. Thus boldface liars can cause much damage while wasting hours of our time/resources. WHY!!!???
