It was very nice. I had a great time. It was my first time there. I really can't wait to go back. I would definitely recommend it to my friends. I know they would enjoy themselves. Even family members I would encourage to go and try to be more open minded. Very good experience.

I'm an Addiction Psychologist and have worked doing drug and alcohol counseling since I got clean and sober 27 years ago when I was 25. I moved to the Gayborhood and starting referring patients to William Way and volunteered there as well. People in recovery can find friends social support and services at William Way. I'm so appreciative of everything they've done for my clients. Jeremy Frank PhD CADC, Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor Philadelphia.

Dedicated to righteous causes and a clear force for good in Philadelphia. Also this place have a small library, and you don't have to be political to utilize their space but they do make it available for citizens to become more informed and involved in their governance.

This is possibly Philadelphia's most recognized LGTBQ community center serving the community in Philly and surrounding areas. Parking near the center is a combination of on street, lots and structures. They run a number of events, fundraisers and charity drives to benefit the community and individual persons at times as well as being a meeting place for an AA chapter onsite as well. Lots of good work being done here.

We had our wedding welcome dinner in the 2nd floor ballroom of William Way Community Center. The space was perfect for our 120 guests and we had the best time. We love how inclusive the community center is, which was why we picked the space to hold our party. Avis was a pleasure to work with, and all of the staff there was very helpful. Would highly recommend anyone to have a party here!

If I'm in between destinations and need a place to relax and surf the web, or chit chat with staff and patrons and get the skinny on new exhibits or events, or peruse the community boards for jobs/things/etc. I can always drop in the William Way.

When i moved back to Philly i was looking for a way to help, make a difference in a positive way.
I decided to do volunteer work. My first "job" was at PAWS. Walking to the subway one day, 6 years ago, i passed WWCC.
I went inside, looked around, and signed up to volunteer. I started in the library and it was GREAT! I didnt know many people and this helped me change that.
Although i dont volunteer here any longer, whenever im in the City i stop in and say Hi.
Its a great place.

When you can't even call the main number and speak to someone about the experience of dealing with such a corrupt city- that's more than enough reason not to want to even go in an office. Have better front desk people!

Nice building, but not very appealing energy. It doesn't seem like a place I would want to hang out; just maybe attend a meeting or special event every now and then. There is some interesting stuff going on there.

It is a wonderful place to come and use the wifi, do meditation, support the local LGBTQ community, and hold your events at. They have a computer lab that can be used, and they usually have an art gallery that you can muse at with different artists that come through.

I was homeless in Philadelphia, and it's unfortunate that this was or is a place that adapted the hostile attitude towards the homeless. I was one of the many that didn't have other places to go, and even this place wouldn't let a person relax. it is always the claim that they don't want to be held responsible for anything that happens, but this isn't a space where anything really happens. If you don't want to be held responsible for anything bad happens as a vague illusion to having people in your building, why have people in your building at all?

And they weren't/ aren't that help with community resources. it's like they focused on being their own community resource, rather than helping people get out of any toxic or depraved situation.

I do hope things have changed since, because you're not a community center if you're not helping the community.

I love every TIME I have gone to the William way lgbtq center in Philadelphia PENNSYLVANIA. It brings the community together in amazing ways. I attended a great storytelling workshop put on by the ACLU OF Pennsylvania with an educator from the NATIONAL CENTER FOR TRANSGENDER EQUALITY. THAT WAS VERY INFORMATIVE AND AFFIRMING TO ME AT SO MANY LEVELS. THE HARD WORKING AND CARING STAFF WAS PROFESSIONAL AND KNOWLEDGEABLE ABOUT THE LOCAL COMMUNITY. I FEEL LIKE IT IS A SHELTER IN THE STORM OF THE OUTSIDE WORLD. I GIVES ME HOPE THE COMMUNITY WILL THRIVE IN THE COMMONWEALTH OF PENNSYLVANIA. I WILL MAKE THE TRIP FROM LOWER PAXTON TOWNSHIP DAUPHIN COUNTY AGAIN. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK AND SUPPORTING ROLE FOR THE LGBTQ EQUALITY IN PHILADELPHIA PENNSYLVANIA. IT FEELS LIKE HOME TO ME NOW.

The center is inclusive by nature, but they're also so vigilant about focusing on the experiences of black and brown lgbtq+ members. There's always some cool art display in the lobby - check it out!
