Not a disappointment - a must see for any Princess Diana fan
I just returned from a 8-night vacation in London. We spent our Sunday visiting Kensington Palace and Hyde Park. I do NOT agree with the 3 previous reviewers, saying the tour is not a must see in London. Yes, it is nothing like Windsor Castle and the breathtaking furnishings and paintings; however, the Princess Diana photo collection by Mario Testino is simply beautiful. These were photos taken a few months before she passed away. They show a fun and softer, more down to earth and playful side to the Princess. In addition to the several rooms of photographs, the Palace has a display of 9 of Princess Diana's dresses that had been sold at auction before her death. One is particular is the black velvet, off the shoulder dress she wore at her first White House dinner as Princess, where she danced with John Travolta. Besides, the Princess Diana collection, guests are shown the apartment where Princess Margaret lived and artifacts from the Royal Seamstresses, etc. You get to feel the fabrics used in construction of beautiful Royal clothing in the 1600's. Outside the Palace is a large and beautiful statue of Queen Victoria, as she was born and lived in Kensington Palace

Prince Harry stood solemnly looking outside of the Kensington Palace.
His mind could only concentrate on the anger over the recent event in The Buchart Gardens.
Prince Harry promptly declared war on the entire world. This war lasted for only 10 seconds because, as he finished the declaration, every single Amazon Alexa in the United Kingdom turned into a nuke.
He saw the devastation unfold as one by one the androids blew up.
He prayed to the only being who had helped him in the past.
The Star Buck just before the Kensington Palace exploded flew the Prince out of there.

Nice palace although small in comparison to others. However, it was very interesting especially in terms of the history of the place and people who lived there, and is especially good for Proncess Diana fans. The gardens are amazingly beautiful also.

A wonderful half day spent. The palace gardens are incredibly green. There are multiple entrances to the palace. So be sure to check out where you want to enter from. We walked for about 20 minutes enjoying the greenery and the pond. The palace itself is majestic. A London pass helps you get in quickly. Diana's clothes on display and a section of the palace dedicated to little girls dressing up as princesses with wigs was the best that my daughter enjoyed. The staff are sweet and friendly. The place is very child friendly.

Very scenic and beautiful place, I'd recommend to walk about in Hyde Park for a frisk morning before going here. Staff is very friendly and attentive. The Afternoon tea menu was superb. All dishes was very nice and it is more than enough for one person. Prices was also very cheap.
Can't say anything that was out of order except that our teas were served in the wrong order, but that was settled quickly.

The exhibits open to the public are wonderful. Lots of history and the employees are full of knowledge- ask them questions because you will learn so much more. As it's connected to gardens and two parks, you can take a lovely stroll to burn off any scones you may have eaten.

A really wonderful place to learn about the history of the Palace. Very well maintained as well. A part of the palace was dedicated to Princess Diana and her fashion. The gift shop had very nice souvenirs related to the palace and the staff there were very friendly and attentive.

I loved this place and the gardens because I loved to see the doggies off leash in the park! They all seemed so happy. Well maintained. Very large park. Diana exhibit is well done and I will always wonder how they get the dresses to stand up in form like they do.

Very interesting tour of the palace
Actors playing parts of the king and queen, so we were drawn in to see their world, we were entertained, included and at the end we could ask questions, you learn more history this way than just looking around
The palace is rich in interesting pieces of furniture and art

Disappointed only one Diana dress and Victoria suite closed. Excellent female tour guide really bought the Palace to life. Would have been 5 stars if exhibit had been open. Will be back to see it at another time. But will check prior to visit.

A nice palace surrounded by vast and wide garden in the central of London city. Not as crowded and touristy as Kensington palace. I did not get the chance to see the inside of the palace though, only strolling around its garden so I can't comment on the inside of the palace

Absolutely worth a visit! You get to see a lot for the price of one ticket. It's fun to imagine their life back then.

If you purchase your ticket online, make sure you arrive on time and not too early. I arrived 40 minutes early and had to spend almost 15 minutes in the queue so I could get the ticket changed to an earlier time.

The Diana exhibition was totally amazing. You get to see so many outfits and learn so much about the meaning of certain colors, styles and fabrics. I teared up a few times reading about Diana.

The Palace was nice to go see and check out, however, you don t really get to see a whole lot of it. There is some interesting artwork and descriptions of the rooms and people that lived there. I was a bit underwhelmed, honestly. Gardens hadn t yet bloomed, but I m sure they ll look amazing in a few weeks. We spent less than an hour walking through, checking out the art and reading the descriptive signs, as we had missed the first tour by half an hour. Maybe the tour would be more informative? Tours were spaced out every 3 hours, which wasn t helpful. You can t go drink tea for 3 hours in the gift shop waiting for a tour to start. Glad our tickets were included in the London Pass. Priced a bit high for what you get.

Very interesting indeed. Focused on Queen Victoria's childhood apartment mainly. The interactive furniture was great. Especially enjoyed the 'theatre' and spent some time listening to the 'opera'. Also look at the little figurines found More

The gardens are spectacular in the spring and summer! The palace is beautiful! Princess Diana s gowns were on display when we were there, exquisite! She had exceptional taste. The park is a great place to sit, relax, people watch. On a nice day, tons of people and their pets are out.

It's a little expensive to enter but I thought the knowledge you gained was worth the price. I would recommend attending the small talks they have which really inform you about the history of the palace and its inhabitants. The palace itself is not extremely impressive but the history that occurred here makes up for it.

The Kensington Palace is set in a beautiful expansive park together with The Diana, Princess of Wales Children Playground and the Round Pond. The Sunken Garden and Hyde Park and several other attractions are extensions of the park.

Lovely well groomed park with good views and seats, walking trails and playground for kids.

I saw many people exercising here at different times of the day.
You get to pay to access a tour of the palace with some parts of the palace being used as gift shop and Tea Cafe. The gift shop and Tea Cafe are free to enter.

Not as ornate as Buckingham Palace or Windsor Castle but if you enjoy history it's worth visiting. No guided tours of any kind not even audio. Disappointing. At this time July 2018 can only see the Diana exhibition of her dresses and how her style changed as she became less shy. And then the Queen's staterooms and King's staterooms. Remember this is a current residence of William and Harry. So rest of palace is off limits.

However one can take photos inside (no flash) which is prohibited at other palaces and castles.

I found inside the Palace incredibly dark, I understand this was to preserve the fabrics and furnishings of the rooms but made for a somewhat gloomy visit. Some of Princess Diana's and Princess Margaret's clothes were on display albeit not the most popular one's. I preferred Buckingham Palace between the two.

So beautiful and very informative. It was such a great area! I really was glad to get to visit. We had no issues getting in with the london pass, and it was really not crowded either. Was nice to have a easy walk in and out of all the rooms. Also nice to have an exhibit where you can actually take pictures!

WILDWORKS, Kensington Palace: Bringing History to Life

Welcome to Historic Royal Palaces, where history comes alive. Our mission is to bring the stories of our six palaces to life and allow visitors to experience history where it happened. One of our most iconic palaces is Kensington Palace, located in the heart of London.

Kensington Palace has a rich and fascinating history that spans over 400 years. Originally built in 1605 as a mansion for Sir George Coppin, it was later purchased by King William III and Queen Mary II in 1689. Since then, it has been home to many members of the royal family including Queen Victoria and Princess Diana.

Today, Kensington Palace is open to the public as a museum where visitors can explore its stunning architecture and learn about its royal residents throughout history. With over 300 years of royal heritage on display, there's something for everyone at this historic palace.

At WILDWORKS, we're dedicated to providing an unforgettable experience for all visitors who come through our doors. We offer a range of tours and exhibitions that showcase the palace's rich history and provide insight into what life was like for its former residents.

One popular exhibition at Kensington Palace is "Victoria Revealed," which explores the life of Queen Victoria through her own words and personal items on display. Visitors can see everything from her wedding dress to her childhood toys as they learn about one of Britain's most beloved monarchs.

Another must-see attraction at Kensington Palace is "Diana: Her Fashion Story." This exhibition showcases some of Princess Diana's most iconic outfits throughout her life as well as exploring how she used fashion as a way to communicate with people around the world.

In addition to these exhibitions, we also offer guided tours led by expert historians who will take you on a journey through time as they share stories about the palace's past residents and events that took place within its walls.

But WILDWORKS isn't just about showcasing historical artifacts - we're also committed to preserving them for future generations. That's why we have an extensive conservation program in place that ensures all items on display are properly cared for so they can be enjoyed by visitors for years to come.

So whether you're interested in learning more about British royalty or simply want to explore one of London's most iconic landmarks, WILDWORKS at Kensington Palace has something for everyone. Book your tickets online today and experience history like never before!
