They where not on probation. This is false and you people are ignorant for taking haters opinions and not looking or seeing for yourselves. This is a great place who truly save wildlife and reintroduce them to the wild. If they can't be reintroduced they are taken care of and found responsible homes like zoo's and animal sanctuaries. Stop the hate people and let these truly wonderful people do what they love and save some amazing animals!!! Oh and I also am from this area so I know for a fact how they work.

I don't understand why if I find an injured bird and call the veterinary hospital that they tell me they can't take wild life. I was told to call wildlife rescue which is what I did. When I called wildlife rescue I'm told they rescue hawks and owls why what do I have. I explain it an injured baby bird. The guy proceeds to ask me where I am at so I tell him Midland Sanford boarder at m-30 and m-20. Well wouldn't you know he doesn't have anyone in this area. So I guess a 15-20 min drive is not worth trying to save this birds life. What kind of "rescue" are you? I'm just supposed to put this injured bird back outside so all these cats can tear it up. I'm sure my kids will enjoy that. NOT! Or I can let it sit and starve to death because I have no idea how to feed it and I've tried to research it and there is no information except that if it's a seed eater and I feed it worms (which there is none in this polluted soil around my house) they are toxic. Great job wildlife rescue maybe you should change your in as me to hawks a nd owl rescue. I bet if I told him I had a baby owl someone would have been in my area. I'm so ashamed of society how can you pick and choose what life matters? Maybe you should change professions. Just my opinion. Only gave one star because I had to.

Awesome organization! I've seen several of their programs, and they do a great job connecting with audiences using the birds of prey. It's fun and informational, and as a wildlife professional I really appreciate that.

Barb, Joe and Joanne are very dedicated and committed. Their presentation always offers previously unheard, informative material and is always just as interesting as the first show I saw. The efforts of Joanne's vast knowledge sharing of loons, Barb entering the den of a hibernating bear for research efforts and Joe living @ 5 mo.'s out of the year in the Porcupine Mountains to bring back the numbers of the peregrine falcon are successes that few can match. Supporting with annual memberships or donations is well worth it.

Small place with a good amount of birds for the size. They re doing a lot of good with little resources. The staff are friendly and I believe mostly volunteer. We got a personal show of some of the birds.

In a letter dated August 25, 2014, USFWS gave notice to Joe and Barb Rogers of its intent to suspend their federal special purpose education permits and states that "any rehab birds that you currently have in your possession should be released to the wild, transferred to other permitted sources or exempt facilities or euthanized." It also states that "You or your organization will not schedule or conduct any educational programs with live birds or eagles that involve the 'upper leg hold' method of handling."

Over many years and many experiences, the Wildlife Recovery Association continues to impress me with their love and care in rehabilitation of injured birds along with lifelong care to those birds who cannot return to the wild.
For over 20 years I have seen presentations, visited their location and volunteered to help, from painting with Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, friends and my son's Eagle Scout Project to sorting food, photographing events and doing anything we possibly can for the organization.
Their personal sacrifices always put the welfare of their animals above their own. Their entire family has worked tirelessly in their recovery efforts.
This is our family's first priority in support of their efforts every year.
Please support them in any way possible. We do.

Great organization. They really care about all they are doing to preserve wildlife and they continue to share their knowledge with the public. I have seen many of their presentations and everyone always enjoys the show. They also offer exceptional opportunities for everyone in our area to volunteer and become better educated. This is an important organization that continues to give from the heart.
