Lack of amenities- very expensive for little options. Most restaurants close at 5 pm, with only 3 open til 9 to accommodate all the guests at a giant resort. Two main pools are tiny. They charge big time prices on top of a hefty $100 a night resort fee but yet provide little in the accommodation arena. Vacation rentals were nice but also lacked basic amenities to get you through a week long stay. Beautiful resort but not worth the money.

Management is absolutely terrible as well. They are rude, unaccommodating, and lie about the services they are able to provide while gladly accepting your big bucks for something they cannot or will not provide. There is little to no communication amongst employees and they do not prepare for large quantities of guests. They stare/hover to intimidate you despite the group not doing anything wrong. They also called the police to watch a group from the wedding at the after party in a lobby bar area that the hotel BOOKED with the bride and groom (and accepted a $2,000 deposit!). They were not prepared to accommodate the group despite accepting money for such services, then were very combative when approached by the guests/customers to hold up their end of the agreement.

Don t waste your money here. They charge an exorbitant amount for mediocrity.

Great place, beach, golf, outdoor activities. A perfect setting for everything. I was there with extended family and the kids have plenty to do. It's a bit of a distance from downtown Charleston which I would have liked to have seen more of but you can't have everything

OKAY!!! Let's be real!! Wild Dunes was hands down the BEST choice we could have made for our wedding. From the impeccable design of the new Sweet Grass Inn Rooftop that overlooks the Atlantic to the INCREDIBLE staff at literally every single point in the journey, this was the best team we could have asked for. The guest experience is so well thought out. We are so happy we were able to celebrate at Wild Dunes Sweet Grass Inn Rooftop and will be back for more fun!!

Wild Dunes Resort reached out after my not so great stay and I spoke with a customer service representative. Corrine was so thoughtful and helpful. We decided to try and give Wild Dunes another try. We stayed in the new hotel which was beautiful (honestly we liked the extra space the condos offered). The new pools were so great compared to our last stay. Customer relations followed up during my stay and everything went so smoothly.
The area is so beautiful and convenient we are already looking at another family vacation. Thank you and we will be back.

We came for only two nights for a travel baseball tournament. We typically stay in a holiday Inn or something similar so this was quite different! The whole facility is beyond beautiful! Every member of the staff is extremely polite and helpful. Our room is very clean and modern. The pools, hot tub and entire cabana area are all very well kept and clean. We haven't eaten anywhere yet but if we do, I'll update my review. I wish we were here for an actual vacation rather than spending the time at the shipyard/ball field and we could enjoy all of the amenities!

The resort itself has a great location. We enjoyed the pool and beach and had a great time. Rated four stars because of a couple factors: Food- not that many options and on the expensive side. Room cleaning: We were there from a Thursday to Monday...no room cleaning. Was stated to be every third day. At the price you pay for these rooms..would be good to have the room cleaned at least once. Parking- very limited and you have to hunt for one. Otherwise- had a great time.

The wild dunes is an interesting take on resorts to say the least! Two stars because of these reasons, limited in food choices, very limited accommodations, and a I don t care attitude for sure when it comes to the needs of some guest. We asked for one simple accommodation, to have the fire pit turned on (it has been on past 10pm all weekend and packed) since we were unable to experience it while here. When we asked management they just uttered policy states it cannot be turned on after 10pm. When I informed it was turned on the past few night late, I was just ignored and dismissed with a nice nasty attitude. For the minimum price of $300 per night they should definitely accommodate us but instead they made no attempts to assist. Hey The valet was good but overpacked all weekend, and aesthetically it was nice (just nice)

I really try to avoid writing 1-Star reviews but this resort made me think it was almost a joke, at times.

I didn t golf, which seems to be one of the main attractions, so I can t comment on that. The golf course, incidentally, was probably one of the only things open. You should know before you book that pretty much everything closes at 5:00. That s right, 5:00. Unless you want some drinks, you might be lucky for them to stay open until 7:00. Good luck getting dinner when your check in is at 4:00. Oh, and pretty much all of your other options are a solid 10-15 minute drive down the island so hopefully you re able to squeeze that in before closing. Don t be looking for a drink on the beach watching the sunset because it isn t happening.

The pools are ice cold. Almost $1400 for 3 nights would make you believe that management could afford a heated pool, but you d be mistaken. One lukewarm hot tub with bath water might suffice if there weren t 18 million screaming kids in it, but you won t be that lucky.

To summarize, this is a resort in which the rooms are standard, nothing is ever open, and the amenities are incredibly low-rent. Do yourself a favor and skip this one, you ll throw a rock and hit a nicer hotel.
