Wicked Diving, Thailand Review

A truly great dive outfit in Khaolak. Well organised dive boat and plenty of food to suit all palates. I personally can't handle spicy food, but there was always a non spicy alternative at every meal. The outfit is very eco-friendly and helps the local community with a percentage of every customers fee. Knowledgeable and friendly guides and on top of that they are one of the cheaper operations but not at the expense of quality and service.

Excellent liveaboard trips and day trips. Staff is fantastic, food is great, and gear is in great shape. Prices competitive. Plus, they go above and beyond to make trips a community experience. You'll no doubt make friends with other divers, and have the trip of a lifetime. Can't recommend this shop enough. Be sure to book ahead, they get busy!

The staff and boat crew were just wonderful, professional and fun! Food on board was amazing, and diverse. We sailed to the Surin islands and had one wicked adventure.

Good equipment, good dive center facilities.

On the 2nd diving day my tanks were not completely full and there was no spare on boat. With my gas consumption that's not a problem, but someone else might get a shorter dive if starting with 170bar.

Also we had an almost-accident from poor communication between DM's and boat crew.

Liveaboard on the Surin Islands of 3 days. Fantastic team. Safety, organization, professionals, super friendly Thai team, fishless cuisine and dazzling dive sites. Limit of 4 divers per dive ... I highly recommend.

We did a 3 days Livaboard to Richelieu Rock with Wicked Diving and because we wanted to see this amazing spot from the top to the bottom, we also did the advanced OW course on this trip!
We've been to a view diving trips but we have to say, we've never been to one that was so perfectly organized than this one.
The staff was really friendly and safety and eco friendliness is always first on this boat, which made us feel really comfortable.
They do not go into the water with bigger groups than 4 persons and all of the divemasters and instructors are very professional and know the divesites, currents and places we went to.
Wicked Diving offers PH Neutral shower gel, shampoo and conditioner so that no chemical stuff ges into the ocean. Every diver gets one refillable bottle that he uses for the whole trip to save plastic stuff which is great.
The divesites in the Similian and Surin Islands were incredible and as soon as we came out of the water, delicious food was waiting for us and we have to say that this was also one of the parts that could not compete with any other company! We never had food as good as this one on a boat :)
We really loved our trip and it was worth every cent of it.... it was one of the best times we ever had in Thailand (and we love nearly every spot here except of the really touristy ones haha)

Attentive mega staff, very careful about safe diving, few dive master divers, simple but delicious live board food

This is a budget live aboard company that needs dive staff customer service work. The Pros: Food was excellent, the ship crew were great and the dive equipment was good. The cons: Dive staff was made almost entirely up of seasonal contract dive leaders, the dive staff was unaccommodating to beginning divers, the dive sites have experienced extreme coral bleaching, the dive sites were extremely busy with other dive groups from other companies many on day trips and the dive sites are mostly absent of large fish because of the number of dive groups. In conclusion, if you are on a budget and an experienced diver and just want to be underwater this is a fine company to dive with.

Environmentall and community active dive center. Great service, knowledgeable and e enthusiastic staff. Did 3 day liveaboard. Loved it!

We did our divemaster in March / April 2016 at Wicked in Khao Lak and can only recommend the diving school! Here, the DM is not "thrown in the aftermath," but chief instructors Alex and the entire team (Keith, Inge, Marie, Chris, Tom ...) was always very attentive and gave us great advice on the first experiences, tips and criticism - whether in the skills, assisting or Guiden ... but then the program takes more than 4 weeks, but it's worth it - we have even extended a bit! We knew Wicked Diving before from Komodo, also highly recommended! However, I would generally recommend that at the start for the DM has already more than 50 dives prescribed by PADI, or either the region knows or has experience with drift dives, because diving at all locations Wicked's is different than in Egypt or Kho Tao - but very worthwhile. Thanks to the entire Wicked team for the great training! We'll meet Again!

Wicked diving provided us with the utmost best liveaboard experience one can wish for. Super attentive crew, fantastic staff, delicious food, different and well mixed dive groups and a very well planned schedule. It all worked out perfectly, competitive prices allow for some instant booking 3 days in advance, loved it! I am really glad to have experience their eco philosophy in person, not just read about it, they really go the extra mile with reusable Waterbottles, recycling, ph neutral soap etc! So refreshing to eat company who cares!

Great experience on the 3 day live aboard to the Surin Islands. The company gives back to the community - they support initiatives like free training and divemaster programs for locals. They use organic textiles and don t clean with bleach. Filtered water on board rather than creating lots of plastic trash. Awesome DMs and crew, air conditioned cabins, and good locally sourced food. Richelieu Rock was stunning.
