Average food and sub-par service. This place has really gone downhill since I last visited (a year or so ago) and is absolutely not worth the money. Pick literally any other restaurant on the same strip.
Beautiful steak, great wine, warm fireplace! Happily settle in here for a winters night. Wait staff very attentive and prompt. Great spot directly opposite the beach. Amazing daiquiris too! Try the mango one ;).
We greatly enjoyed the crispy skin barramundi. Service was prompt and friendly, and I can highly recommend Whitewater. Not cheap eats, and most of the other nearby restaurants were cheaper, but I didn't consider it overpriced, and the food was excellent. Worth the little bit extra, in my opinion.
An excellent selection of things to have for brunch, and definitely top-notch and quality and presentation that s for sure. My only gripe would be that some of the staff on this particular Saturday were probably not as engaging as they could ve been, although that did not spoil the experience. It was a lazy Saturday so the lacklustre energy could ve been due to that, however they were friendly and polite. Still recommend trying this place out, one of the better places to have brunch in Manly!
The food wasn t amazing! I ordered Morton Bay Bugs Char grilled bugs served w. a light couscous salad, endive leaves & beetroot gel & the Spicy Lychee
Vodka, lychee liqueur, lychee, ginger, chilli, pineapple juice + half a dozen of oysters.
The main was very healthy but the salad was very plain & the Morton bug was also bland, and tough! Which means it was overly cooked! It was hard to pull out of the shell!
The oysters were so yummy! Fresh (that s all I enjoyed) from the menu! The spicy lychee vodka didn t have a nice taste, the lychee tasted didn t suit the spice.
The view was amazing, across the road we could see the beach.
In terms of servicing, not so friendly. Everyone looked miserable serving us. We didn t feel welcome!
We came on a Saturday around 1 PM.
In the terms of cleanliness, the tables were sticky!! Even though I wiped down my table myself! I couldn t get rid of the stickiness feeling!!
Food is fine. Terrible service. Asked for ketchup 4 times to 4 different staff members and none came back with it. Took forever to give water. The table behind us asked for the same and were served promptly. Never coming back here. Many better restaurants in the vicinity.
We went on a cold and miserable night, so the usual footpath dining with beach views was not available. That said we sat in a comfortable, quite inside and were looked after by attentive staff. The cocktails were great with the usual and some interesting new options.
For dinner we had a few prawn options, and my son got the ribs and burger combo. All were of high quality and very tasty. Followed by a good selection of desserts, yummy, and espresso martini s. not the cheapest spot in Manly, but great for a really top meal.
Having been to Brisbane, Melbourne, and Canberra... the Sea Food Platter is the best. The portion was filling for two people. So if to stop here, have the platter and you will definitely enjoy it.
