Has the W train. (Everyone screaming about the w train coming back) Yeah yeah yeah!!!!

The place is complete just you. Beware of the vendors waiting for you outside to sell you a ticket to see the statue of liberty walk out of there and look them in the eye. The police could be more present

As soon as you get out the subway, you can easily find the Staten Island Ferry Whitehall terminal. Very spacious. There are food stalls, so you'll never get hungry. Toilets got long lines sometimes but its manageable. Best way to see the Statue of Liberty for free!

Clean station with 2 Island platforms and three tracks. The W normally terminates here. Transfer to the (1) train and connection to the Staten Island Ferry upstairs. Free Wi-Fi and cell service here as well.

Excellent views of New York City and the Statue of Liberty, best of all, it's free travel.

It is very nerve wracking during rush hour. The stairs up from the platform are very narrow. It sucks to have to start one's day fearing a stampede.

Some great murals and the escalators instead of stairs are a welcome site. Signage is clear and reasonably obvious. Platforms are well lit. Easy to use station.

The center track is a termination track for the W train on weekdays, and the R train during late nights (weekdays between 2013 and 2014).

Provides a convenient connection to the Staten Island Ferry. For art lovers, there's some neat ceramic art on the walls of the stairs leading to the train tracks. And if you look closely on the wall of the tracks, you'd also see some mosaic art.

Whitehall St is South Ferry Station, and a link to both stations has been made a few years back. This is a GO TO Stop if you are going to Staten Island.

I love the Staten Island ferry. It's probably the best tourist option in NY and it's free! The views are spectacular and you go right past the Statue of Liberty. If you come to NY and don't take this ride, you're missing out big time. You should really do it during the day and at night to take in teh lower Manhattan skyline.

Well it s easy to find and it was clean so what more could you want from a station.

W and R trains with connections to 1 and Staten Island ferry.

Good, for a subway station. It is clean, and the trains (occasionally) run on time. It is convenient to the staten island ferry, and it has a connection to the 1 at south ferry. Easy ride to Brooklyn. Slower to midtown. It is a bit inconvenient on weekends, though, as only R trains stop.
