This review is for Cafe on the Green. We came to Cafe on the Green for breakfast on a Saturday Morning. It was Lacross weekend and we decided the Cafe would be the best option because it was off the grid. I spoke to someone the night before and informed them I would have a party of 10 for breakfast the following morning. When we arrived there was only one gentleman working doing both the bar and waiting tables. Our food took over an over to come out, everyones meals didnt come out together (15 mins difference) and they forgot two of the meals. They ended up boxing one of the meals to go and unfortunetly the eggs werent cooked. I will never come to cafe on the green again for any meal. When I asked to speak with a manager they informed me that there was absolutley no one that I could talk to. The manager was on vacation and there no one else on property to assist. They took down my number and I havnt heard anything yet. I spoke with the chef and he was apologetic. Kristin (not sure her role) arrived and deducted money off the bill but was very snooty. Overall, this was the worst birthday breakfast, or anything breakfast in general, that I ever had to sit through. Over an hour wait for eggs, missing meals, and raw eggs. Stay far away!!!

Amazing venue! We had our wedding here and it couldn't have turned out better! We were able to have our ceremony down by the water with Whiteface in the background, it made for the most beautiful pictures.

Played golf at Whiteface G.C. in late May this year. It's one of the most picturesque and bucolic mountain courses in the area. The 6th hole is notable, elevated tee box, dogleg right to left, with a beautiful view of Whiteface Mountain. All around great course with well maintained greens. Also, since it's not immediately located near the lakes in the region, its light on the bugs during the spring season

We found Artisan's Restaurant at the Whiteface Club and Resort through OpenTable.

I was staying with my girlfriend in Lake Placid for the week. It was her 40th birthday and I wanted to treat her to something really special. Everything about Artisan's was spectacular. I marked on the reservation that it was for a birthday, and the first thing the waiter asked when he arrived at our table was which one of us was celebrating a birthday... Great attention to detail! We were asked about our food preferences and happy to learn that they could accommodate our gluten free diet, including gluten free bread with butter. The food was phenomenal! We split the lobster bisque and it was by far the best I've had. I had the beef tenderloin, it was cooked medium rare to perfection and the flavor was delicious, also probably the best I've had. My girlfriend had the duck, and it was also cooked perfectly and tasted wonderful. Both plates were presented beautifully. Our waiter took great care of us and did not rush us through our appetizer even though we probably spent 30 minutes talking while it was on the table. Our dessert was served with a candle and a "happy birthday" written in dark chocolate. In addition to the food, the atmosphere was great for a date, or perhaps even a small wedding, very rustic and romantic. If I'm ever back in Lake Placid and I'm looking to impress someone, or looking for a world class meal, I will come here again.

there are no bad condos at this resort. The wedding party and numerous guests all rented condos here for three nights and no one had a bad thing to say. Beautiful views of the lake and golf course (btw, this course is excellent). Easy access to downtown; lots of great restaurants (Fireside Steakhouse is the absolute best!). We happened to...

Things get better every year at the Club! A top mountain course in NY state and amazing staff and amenities. The course will challenge, so concentrate on hitting straight and not necessarily far. You will score well if you stay out of the woods!

Our wedding this September at the Whiteface Club and Resort was better than we could have imagined. After seeing many venues in upstate NY and beyond, we kept going back to the lake, the mountains, and that gorgeous garden at WC&R. Kristin Parker was just as excited as we were throughout the whole wedding process and went above and beyond in every way possible. Kristin absolutely loves her job, which shows through in all of her weddings and interactions. We were so impressed with the staff, how friendly and genuinely happy and excited they all were for us. Kristin was up for anything, embraced our style and ideas and loved creating our vision. Not only did we have an amazing wedding to remember forever, but we made friends that will continue on past the wedding and bring us back to enjoy WC&R for years to come.

Beautiful location, and a great lodge. I was part of a wedding on site - the wedding planner and wait staff were extremely helpful and did a great job transitioning the guests from happy hour at the boathouse to the Main Lodge for the reception. Excellent experience!

I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to play golf here period after many years Hiatus I did not bring my own clubs and they provided some decent clubs even for a lefty. The course was in fantastic shape even though all those around it where browned out from the heat wave this summer. You do pay a premium but I highly recommend this course.

Top floor bar is good for eats. Love skiing here, it's not as busy as Tremblant. We unfortunately had some cold/icy conditions but regardless this is probably the best place for skiing on the east coast hands down. Staff and locals are great too.
