Wheelbarrow Farm: Providing Fresh, Organic Vegetables to Toronto and Beyond
Wheelbarrow Farm is a family-owned organic vegetable farm located near Uxbridge, Ontario. The farm was founded in 2008 by Chris Krucker and Denise Trigatti with the goal of providing fresh, healthy produce to their local community. Today, Wheelbarrow Farm has grown into a thriving business that supplies organic vegetables to farmers' markets in Toronto and surrounding areas.
At Wheelbarrow Farm, we believe that everyone should have access to fresh, healthy food. That's why we're committed to growing our vegetables using sustainable farming practices that prioritize soil health and biodiversity. We use only natural fertilizers and pest control methods on our crops, ensuring that our produce is free from harmful chemicals.
Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond our farming practices. We also strive to minimize waste by using reusable packaging for our products whenever possible. Our CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) program allows customers to receive weekly deliveries of fresh vegetables throughout the growing season in reusable bags or boxes.
In addition to supplying farmers' markets and CSA members with fresh produce, Wheelbarrow Farm also offers educational programs for children and adults alike. Our "Farm School" program teaches kids about sustainable agriculture through hands-on activities like planting seeds and harvesting crops. We also offer workshops for adults on topics like composting and beekeeping.
At Wheelbarrow Farm, we're proud of the work we do every day to provide fresh, healthy food while protecting the environment around us. Whether you're a regular at one of our farmers' markets or a member of our CSA program, you can trust that you're getting the best quality produce available.
