I didnt have the best start when i started working for WGC and thats me been completely honest. I have been working for WGC for around a year and a half and within this time i personally think i have progressed far with me now been an assistant head house keeper and with me only starting as a room attendant. They are also very understanding regarding peoples circumstances and they're a great company and i would recommend working for WGC.

Been with the Company for a little over 2 years now, this company gives me great opportunities to grow and develop. I feel supported and valued by WGC.

If you want to be treated like slave and don't get paid, choose wgs. I worked for this ghost company for 6 months, and the last 2 weeks I basically worked for free. I am still waiting for my wage and they are lying to me that they have my money at their office, and when I take a day off from my work to go there, they told me that they will send it by post. Tomorrow I will go again to beg for my money. Modern slavery. "Good job wgs".
PS. I was giving them a review last week and they called me to say that if I will delete my comment, they will pay me as soon as possible. But still waiting.

Worked for WGC for 3 years at Birmingham Airport. I have worked for other cleaning company s and WGC stand out by a mile. We have been offered fixed term contracts as well as fantastic benefits for all staff. The management care for there staff, in the recent bad weather our area manager and director came and cleaned rooms on a Sunday afternoon to help us, then drove us home as no public transport. I really do feel part a family.

I work for this company more than 8 years now and I really enjoy it. As Im a single parent this job works around my daughter. I started as a Room Attendant and after I was given the opportunity to do first Rooms, then Housekeeping and later Level1 Management in NVQ with WGC, after all that now it is 6 years I`m the Head Housekeeper on the same site I started 8 years ago. The opportunities are great, as a company they take care of your development and encourage you to grow. I have also encouraged some of the room attendants to push themselves and they are now doing NVQs themselves which is a great opportunity for them.
They do care about their employees as they helped myself through some really difficult times when I had personal problems and I needed support. Just recently I had a big crisis and I urgently needed to pay off an unexpected dept and I didn`t have time to raise the money for myself. WGC gave me the loan as soon as I asked which I very much appreciated, and I can`t thank them enough.
I would encourage people to work with them as they don`t hold you back, and if you prepared to give your best in your job you will get twice as much back on every level.

In my opinion this company is very bad. I used to work for them and was not paid correctly my wages was always wrong and not paid on time. I waited 8weeks for my first wage. They bully staff out of there jobs if they do something they don't like. I feel this is what is happening to my paretner at the moment he's been picked on and victimised. Everyday he comes home with proof of him been singled out, he's put down and spoken to like a child. In my opinion this company is shady. I know from experience how far they will go to bend the rules and keep them self out of trouble.

I`m working for this company over 10 years ! I`ve started as a room attendant and with a great training`s and support provided by WGC and great people around me , I`m now proudly represent WGC as a manager .

Decent company to work for. The pay for staff especially under the age for 25 is decent if for a student or weekend work as well. Ive worked for the company for 7 years now and will continue to do so. The hotels and family environment that i come to work daily is excellent bond that we all have the head housekeepers and management make. Staff meeting are very good with benefits of employee of the month/gifts and training to support us to do our daily jobs as cleaners. Time of working is the best part for me as its part time from 9 till 2pm so i can get all what i need to do after and if defiantly a job for mothers with children at school.

Though I recently joined wgc company,but i can gladly say it's a fantastic work place full of great opportunities. Great pay rates,team benefits,you get to work in a fast pace environment,wonderful team members and a lovely head housekeeper who look's out for the team members.

It is absolutely pleasure to work with WGC company for over 7 years. I've worked for many others company as WGC but I didn't enjoyed as much. The support which was given to me was priceless from all my working collages.

I am enjoying working for this company. They help you grow within the company. I am currently doing my NVQ level 3 through WGC to help my further in my career. I get full support from the Area manager when needed.

I have been working for WGC for nearly 2 years, since my time with the company I have found it very enjoyable. Everyday is a new challenge. You never have to face these challenges by yourself as there is a wealth of staff to help you with whatever you need. Everyone makes you feel so welcome and a valued member of WGC.

I would never come back to work at this company. This is a job for people who have no private life. You can't plan anything because you never know when you get free, cheat with payouts. Ideally, the employee should be a robot who can work until the bankrupt. The only plus of this company is helpful and pleasing supervisors.

I happen to had experience the competition in the same line of work and WGC is mile ahead in on levels. My previews company did not provide anything but terrible structured .
Since I been with WGC I had training, support and most important they have high welfare care for their teams at all levels.
To be honest am surprise at the comments and reviews on this site and obviously the people who left those did not fulfilled the part of the contract after it is a business like any other, but they do care and invest on their workforce.

I have worked for this company for 6 years and have been given the opportunity to develop my skills and I am now doing the job I love in a company that supports me.

There are so many career progression opportunities available to everyone. I started as a Head Housekeeper 15 months ago and have progressed to Cluster Manager. Definitely one of the best companies I have worked for.

So I do not know if you prispevky down talking about the same WGC ?? But I guess yes! Maybe you have better working conditions :) I know that for room is 10 minutes little. And the hours are adjusted !! Robbing or intent ??? Even if you make 20 room. Write your 2 hours and I can make you be there 6-8 hours, but pay your 2 to 3 hours as a slave !!!

Im working for WGC for over 1 year. It s a great company. I see a lot of opportunities with them and career progression. A lot of benefits as well. Well done for that. I have saw some not that great feed back but I personally believe that is coming from the people that don t like to work, I m quite used to this kind of people ;) The staff is always paid on time and all the hours that they work.

I advise you to avoid the cleaning company WGC with a wide arc! Everyone who is willing should have in mind that they can come across such "competent" people as Mrs. Dorota from the Mercure hotel on Lancaster Gate who before forgetting to write the numbers of our accounts to the system, so I and my colleague were losing 20 pounds (we received checks from each check is charged a commission). However, two weeks later, the colleague did not receive the payment at all (as we were able to find the payment she did not receive a friend who left the week before us). On Friday, we were able to contact Mrs. Dorota. She said that by accident his payment was sent to someone else and that a colleague will get his honestly earned money only when the company receives a return In general, Ms. Dorota had somewhere that we have to pay for a flat and have enough to live for. The company made a mistake and a colleague did not get the money until today. I would also like to add that Ms. Dorota has stopped answering the telephone and has no contact with her. A bunch of cheats and nothing more. Do not waste time and nerves!

My girlfriend has this same issue , she should get paid for 50 hours but they paid only 120 punds !!!!

I'd been working in WGC for 2 years but left to get a new experience in different cleaning companies. I was happy to come back to WGC 4 years later and get promotion here. WGC is definitely the best company to work with. Good luck for everyone

I was transferred (TUPE) to WGC 2017.
To be honest I didn't have a good start with them. It was so many things which one's was not clear for me and unfortunately at this time my area manager not help me a lot.
Everything is change when I started to work with area manager Dina. Everything fell into place. I don't know if I can want or ask for more.
I learned more about the company. She explained and showed how the company works and how they take care about the members of staff.
There is nothing wrong with the company if you are lucky and working with the right managers.

Worked for wgc for nearlly 3 years and have been put on long term sick by my doctor and have not been paid my ssp for over a month leaving me and my 2 children with 52p in my bank account disgusting excuse for employers 0 from me only did one because had to to put this on pointless saying send us your details to hr help because have already don this over 15 times all ignored

My first job in uk at WGC and still enjoying for last 6 years.

This company is one big circus. You can't have a private life while working at this company. You never know when you'll have off. Every day you don't know what time you will finish your work. Even if you calculate more or less, at the end you get something extra and you can't refuse, because they say 'it's your job' ... You work even after 10-11h if the day is busy because they don't have enough staff. No organization. You can't be sick because you have no one to cover. Menagement is hopeless, they can't speak the language well and they consider themselves the best. They use and humiliate employees. They are fake and not helpful. You get a minimum wage for very hard work. I do not recommend wgc.

I've worked for wgc for 11years. The company are decent to work for there pay is very fair too and decent for staff of all ages! There team support and training is beyond the best I've seen for a cleaning company. Taking care of there staff is a main key for WGC. Highly recommend working for them.

I work for WGC for 4 years and I'm really happy to be here. I am also very happy that I have such a good supervizer who respect my work. I'm really grateful.

My mum work for Ibis Hotel Bristol in the center. For the first week, she was alright. But after that, they change the Manager and it was horrible. From the first day, this "manager" started to shout at my mum. Even she wanted to clean places that the other girls didn't clean. My mum is 60 years old and she has 8 surgery. She needs some money for her health, that's why she trying to save some money. And she can't do it so fast, but she cleans very well. I spoke with the others girls and they told me the same. But this Manager is crazy she just lying. She was given 39 room to a room attendant. Is that normal? Is it normal to clean one room for 17 minutes? And to want clean perfect and everything. To shout you every day without reason. Even they don't have a break. For me, It is not normal. To use people spacial the old people, because they don't speak English and they can't find another job.

Worked for WGC for 10 years, I joined the company as a part time linen porter and progressed my way up through the company. Great opportunities and a great company to work for! I would would highly recommend everybody to join the WGC family.

I started as a part time supervisor but soon they offered me promotion for the HHK position at the same place.. I always respect my team and support them. I have worked with WGC For 12 years, in my role I have experienced many different hotels and have progressed to a cluster housekeeper. If you work hard WGC recognise and support and offer you grate opportunists within the business and to move forward with you career. They offer NVQs and grate benefit. Fantastic company to work for.

I worked in 2 hotels with this company as room attendant. In the first one, managers and supervisors were very nice and they respected the room attendants! I think That s why they stopped the contract with WGC. In the second one, the manager is such a rude people! She don t respect the cleaners and I saw many times them crying because she screams and humiliates them! They don t speak English so they re afraid to tell for hotel manager! The way that they split the rooms to clean is not fear! Some girls work a lot and some girls don t, in the same day. They give you one departure room to clean when you have one DND. And I never signed any contract, they just leave it in their website and they don t told me nothing about this, don t told me how to access it. I have to agree everything, and I never saw none of the terms! This is ridiculous! Avoid this company! You can work with better ones where you ll be respected!

I have been working for Wgc for 6 years. I've never had rare work-related problems. Payments are always on time. And contact with superiors is professional and pleasant.
