The rooms are nice, especially with the huge window and sunbeaming in. My grandpa seems to like it here, he even verbalizes he does. From what I see, they treated him well these past few months. Will update if any changes occur.
Stay away from this place! Is beautiful and they will serve you from special menu initially to get you in.
We live in Long Beach and placed our mom and dad there about 6 months ago. First week my mom could have died because they had excluded her most important medication. If we had not double checked it would have killed her. She takes blood thinners. It turns out that if you take medicine in organizer tray they throw it out. They only keep medicines taken in bottles but never told us that. Only 1, maybe 2 health techs knew what they were doing. One was Elaine and I don't remember the name of the other. You would think the others were taken off the street. They were clueless. We paid extra for services including distribution of medications, toileting, and dressing for my mom. Turns out they had only one person in charge for night shift toileting. My mom waited 30 minutes the very first night. They never changed my mom unless one of us,my siblings or myself, insisted. A couple of the girls that came in at different times to put my mom on the toilet . They just stood there confused and staring. My dad had to tell them what to do. Like they had never done the job before. One even left the waste in the potable toilet. Didn't even bother to throw it out it out. My dad had us close by to help with our mom in Long Beach when she started slowing down.He helped care for her for about a year. We're teachers and knew we wouldn't be able to help him during the day anymore. Now they were both further away and my dad was going crazy trying to take care of her himself. We still had to take turns being there, which was why we paid $6000 a month for care in the first place. It was a nightmare. We were back to square one but paying a huge amount monthly and traveling further. We were there for 2 months. After several complaints it was clear that we couldn't trust them. To top I off they didn't give us our deposit back. My dad came home just as sick as our mom from no sleep and being so upset with the whole experience. The one star is for the food.It was very good but we never saw the items we initially tested again. Rosanne
