Unless you live in the Galleria area, you will NOT find this hotel. But once you do, and you get parking taken care of (easier to just pay for valet rather than getting lost in the many parking garages), the people are the NICEST around. Beautiful view and rooms are super super clean and nice. And the security is top notch. Elevator has restricted access!
Spent a night here on a business trip as the hotel is popular amongst the business class. The hotel does a good job servicing the companies doing conferences as that was why I was here. The conference rooms and everything that came along with the conference we're done well. Food was good, wifi a little slow, but all in all was good.
The rooms were well spaced. I had a king bed room and it came with a couch. Bed was soft and pillows were comfortable. Good water pressure for the shower. The hotel bar was small and opens up at 4pm, a little late for us drinkers. My only complaint was the pool. Pool was located on the 5th floor but was kind of away from everything and has nothing to it except chairs and the pool. Was not impressed with it.
All in all, it was a good hotel, centrally located and attached to the mall which is good if you need to get something. I'll be back.

Hotel located inside Galleria mall. Both Westin Galleria and Westin Oaks . They are on opposite sides of the mall so be sure to check which hotel you have. One is on the front side the other adjacent back of mall.. Rooms updated to modern feel... great staff at both locations..
The Westin Galleria is the exact reason I appreciate the Marriott brand! I have been a Marriott member for many years because they go above and beyond to provide excellent customer service. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The cleanliness is pristine. Even while facing Covid restrictions, everyone on staff maintained excellence in all areas. I am very pleased with my experience!
Excellent experience during the Christmas holidays we enjoyed every minute. Our room was downstairs from the mall. So the kids could go down anytime they liked.
Nice hotel. Terrible service. I tried to get them to send up some extra pillows and blankets. It took them forever, by the time they got them there I was already about to check out.

Great corporate hotel. Ideal location for meetings in the galleria area. Very helpful staff and lovely views, breakfast and pool at the top floor.
Hotel is on a very nice location for shopping and not far from downtown by car or uber. Rooms are very spacious. Beds are extremely comfortable.
I really enjoy staying at this Westin when in Houston. Always a pleasure getting checked in as everyone is always so friendly. The gym is great, I am thru the roof that they added a Peloton bike! Smooth move Westin!
Nice hotel in a great location in Houston. The hotel connects to the Galleria Mall, so there are lots of great restaurants and shopping nearby. Also, service from their staff is really helpful-I left something in my room and they were committed to getting it back to me quickly. There was a mix-up in shipping my item to me (sent my item to someone else and theirs to me) but they worked very hard to make it right.
This West in hotel is the best in the Houston area.
The hotel staff weren't very nice. I'm staying here for the ELCA national youth gathering and there are a lot of people staying in the hotel. When we were getting back from one of the events, the staff wouldn't even let us use the stairs to get to our rooms. They even tried to convince us that they didn't have stairs. We ended up waiting about 20 minutes for an elevator. I just think that the staff could have been more accommodating or at least gave us a decent explaination besides that they don't have stairs.

stay here once a quarter and just for a weekend. rooms, amenities, towels, toiletries, bedding, etc... all are pretty good. super convenient being inside of the galleria.
Great location in the center of it all. Across the street from the mall. Lobby staff is very courteous. Heavy traffic area outside which makes it a bit tricky
The hotel is nice and appears to be recently remodeled. The adjacent mall provided a lot of dining options during my professional conference at a wide variety of prices and quality.
Amenities said paid wi fi but what they mean to say is that if you want wi fi it will cost you $17.95 a day and your last day (check out day) even though you are only there til 12 noon it is still $17.95 for that half of the day. It is directly connected to the Galleria mall YEAH! It has a refrigerator (compact) no microwave. And the SOFTEST pillows in the world.
Booked a room in conjunction with my company holiday party which was held there. I spent all day preparing and decorating for the party. All the staff I encountered were very pleasant, helpful and cooperative. My room was clean and very comfortable. The previous comments about parking are true. It's a mess unless you valet and that's pretty steep at $27/night (plus lodging taxes). I ordered room service breakfast - menu price was $29 but it was actually $42 (plus tip!) by the time it got to my room. Stay away from room service unless you like paying $50 for bacon, eggs & toast. All that said, I would stay there again and skip the room service.
The room key didn't work. The air conditioner didn't work. The breakfast was disgusting. The maids stole my money and every thing that she got from the mall

Standard Westin experience. Recently renovated, so the showers are especially clean. The only drawback is that the windows are a bit thin and you can hear any construction going on nearby.
Nothing fancy though, expect a Westin experience and you will be happy.

It was a beautiful hotel. I suppose with all hotels no matter how nice there is potential for disturbing linens...I had to request new linens for both beds in my room because they were terribly stained. The maid had an attitude when I asked her to change both, which may have been a communication issue. But the front desk staff was very nice about it.
The venue is beautiful and checking in luggage and coats was easy and the clerks were very friendly and helpful.

I went there for Christmas party pull up into the driveway obviously they were very busy with multiple parties going on. A lady comes up to me at the Valete Parking is $25 I was told that since I'm handicapped Parking should be free, The lady continued to argue with me that it's $25 otherwise I can't park valet so she told me just go forward And I can park myself she was so Rude.So I proceeded to go forward then there was another tall gentleman I asked him is it true that with Valet parking for Handicapped still have to pay $25 ? . He was very kind explain to me no sir Valley parking is free for handicapped so he called up a gentleman and they took my car away. After leaving the venue I gave them a ticket to pull my car up . Once again This one proceeds To ask me for $25 for the parking I told why we had handicap parking I said I don't have to pay $25. Then he got rude with me he says $25 or he will not get my car. So I says to him I says no look sir I have handicap the ticket they told me WAS MARKED ans its supposed to be free and I don't have to pay for handicap he got rude with me in a harsh matter kept saying it's $25 once again I told him one more time no your wrong. Finally after going back-and-forth with him he says give me your ticket almost yelling and giving me a look at th iui s point I asked for a manager he says their all gone. So I went to the front counter and asked the lady if there's a manager on duty for valet parking and she says yes sir there is and she went and got him. I explained to him what the situation was he was really nice about it he personally pulled the car up for me. Now I wanna ask you people something how is it possible that there is such mis information communication between people if I to pay $25 Where was that money gonna go if I was handicap in his pocket what kind of business do you people actually have their at a high class hotel. I AM NEVER GOING BACK TO YOU .After this hassle. This is the kind of rude people you have working there and I am sure they're rude like that with others also you can keep your hotel thank you very much. I may be one of the few that complain to but how many other people have not said anything to you that the situation goes on how upset are those people and that say nothing to you about it Basically just never come back like I am not????????????
The hotel is under renovation March 2017. . The manager on duty (Duncan) was very rude and did not accommodate our request to be relocated to a renovated room.
We did not stay there and I was charged anyway and my experience trying to get Daisy to help me get the charges reversed has been equally unpleasant.
Got a last minute room here through Priceline. Large room, very comfortable beds, staff was polite and professional. Free self parking with a short walk. Will definitely stay again.
I love this hotel which is attached to the mall. It has great amenities and the continental breakfast is amazing!
The staff went above and beyond to guarantee us customer service to satisfaction and were very professional in everything.
The view was nice and we got our slippers/toothpaste quickly when we requested them. The only things I did not like was the fact that I booked a king size bed and was put inside of a queen(I work at another Marriott owned hotel and know a bed size when I see it) and the sink NEVER drained. I don t like others coming into my room so I didn t ask for service but it was very nasty how the water just stayed there the whole time I was there.
Great service for a wedding. Plus the mall is right downstairs so it's all fun. The staff for the hotel is great. Ballroom is beautiful and holds a good number of people as well!!!
I loved my room. We had a very comfortable king size bed with a really nice comforter set. The shower was really nice as well and the room was clean and roomy with a nice view and great access to the mall. MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS to be such a nice hotel the food could be ALOT BETTER. For dinner we had a chicken quesadilla overloaded with cheese but hardly any meat and weird green stuff veggie inside which made the meal not worth finishing. Loved the ice cream and fries though. In morning for breakfast the French Toast $12 was very mediocre, the syrup is not so delightful even though it was pure maple. The pancakes for $14 could & should be 10x's better than that, it was like flat and dry with lack of flavor. The link sausage was disgusting with non-flattery taste. All of breakfast was not even worth finishing such a shame a nice hotel with mediocre food for hefty prices SMH.
I've stayed here twice, and have stayed at nearly every Westside decent hotel at least once. My room was blatantly burglarized by the staff, but they wrote me a check. The bar is not actually in the hotel, it's in the mall. Other than those points, it's decent, but somewhat overpriced.
As always the staff bent over backwards and accommodated everyone.

From the point that I arrived I was treated with courtesy and professionalism. In a hotel that can feel very busy, they did a great job in making it all make sense.
It is a very comfortable hotel due to its location inside the Galleria; which allows you to take your purchases to the room and not be loaded with bags all day. It is also very convenient because of the weather since in Houston it rains a lot and in summer the heat is very strong and oppressive; in winter it can get very cold.
The service is friendly, the rooms are good size and their beds and comforters are very comfortable and cozy. They charge you for the use of internet inside the room, in the lobby it's free or you can use the Starbucks wifi or the mall.
It is not a cheap hotel due to the location and recognition of the Westin.
