Just a simple question and as one can see the time I'm posting this review it says, "Very busy." One person at the desk signing people up i.e. a process that was clearly in the middle of and not the beginning. Shocked? Not at all.

Brought my kids to the pool a couple weeks back and they had an absolute blast! Very nice staff too. I think the guard on deck was named Lily and she was very attentive and made sure my kids did not drown. Good job, Lily!

Overall the facility and staff are nice.

However, if you plan on using the pool prepare for disappointment. It s routinely overbooked and largely unavailable to members. The issue is that the pool manager allows paid event scheduling to crowd our member capacity. To paying members, this feels not great as the center earns revenue on these event fees so they re effectively double dipping (selling what members have already paid for). Just be aware that if you re considering a pool membership, it s a bit of a sham.

Very nice people, beautiful facility. I'm very jealous (I have crappy Whetstone center in my neighborhood, talk about useless). We came to see the pool, and it's great- big enough for a busy Saturday afternoon and two great slides. I'd say go.

I have been going here for about a year now and have enjoyed it overall. They have a really good selection of weights and cardio equipment. The fact that they have a pool is a huge bonus as well. There is an indoor playground for kids, a couple basketball courts and a climbing wall as well. The usability depends greatly on what time you go
When pricing out different gyms in the area, I found you get the most bang for your buck here, unless you are looking for a place open 24/7.
Unfortunately, it is exceptionally busy in the mornings (6am-7am) to the point where many machines/weights/benches are not easily available. The pool is always busy, often with two people per lane, even when I have tried to go on my lunch break.
During their summer hours (June-October) they are only open until 9pm which is challenging when your schedule works best with the winter hours open till 10pm.
There is a new expansion coming within the next year or two which is awesome, but it will be interesting to see how everything functions during that time.

We love the community center and the inside playground. Right now a lot of construction is going on. Only downside is the TV in the Sprouts waiting room. Kids should not need to watch TV during 2 hours of being dropped off. But staff is awesome. Hope they put less and not more TV's in after the remodeling.

It's a really nice space. We bought a single day pass for the pool. The staff is a little allot. Even after I told them I was visiting for the first time they were quite unhelpful. But not rude.
The facility is really well kept and we had a very fun day.

Prices are a little steep if you are outside of the tax zone ($200+ per month for a family)...this isn't that much if you use it regularly, but before you pay those prices, think about if you are too far away to get your money's worth...

The pool seems interesting, with its two 3 story waterslides and water playground, but I don't find swimming in it to be very pleasant because it is both heavily chlorinated and has an unusual smell.

The facility includes an assortment of cardio and weight-lifting equipment that is easily accessed during non-peak hours but can be limited when several dozen people are working out from about 4 pm to 6 pm.

The biggest consideration is if you are going to go more than twice a week. You need to go at least twice a week to justify paying the family rate because daily access rates vary between $6 and $10...assuming a $10 daily rate, you need to have about 7 visits in a month as a 3-person family to justify the expense of a monthly rate.

Indoor FREE playground for kids. Perfect place to take your kids when weather didn't help. Also a great indoor pool with a small admission fee.

Don't forget your drinks! Kids can easily get thirsty. There are vendor machines but no coffe..

They have a nice selection of magazines to enjoy while you wait.

Amazing place I swim and play basketball here. Has everything you could ask for. However if you're playing basketball most of the kids there are streetballers who don't know how to play an actual game

I really like coming this community center, we used to come every Friday but haven't been able to make it that frequently. They have a really nice little playground inside that I like to bring the kids to because it's all weather and there's a lot of other kids that come in that they can play with.

Very upset and disappointing! I went to Westerville Community Center a couple weeks ago and i was new and told them i was new, i only came for the pool with my son to play and they NEVER told me that there were certain times, so i was there till like 12:30,1
Today I went back to the Westerville Community Center because we had such an amazing time, i was told that it has always been a rule and that toddlers play till 11........ i came at 10....... Never again, how can such a busy place be not organized at all! i will be going somewhere else who allows my kid to play longer then only for an hour and half and is more organized!

The hours for the Rec Center are good for people who work. I used to go over and swim a couple of miles around 6 AM.

Our son is a huge b-ball player and they have plenty of courts. Sometimes the high schools practice here. Not sure why but they're all really nice kids and are welcoming to new kids. .

This is a great place to swim in the 2 pools - one for laps and diving and one with lazy river, kids area, and deeper end. They have a lot of swim classes but parents beware watch your children at ALL times this pool can get very busy. Also watch during little ones swim lessons. There was one occasion that I'm aware of where a child almost drown. The parent had to jump in fully clothed to pull their child out. That teacher was obviously not paying close enough attention but for the most part they do a good job. During free swim we're always in the pool and right with our little ones when they're in the pool.

In the summertime there are great camps for kids ages K - 5th grade, run from 9 AM till 4 PM. You can pay a little extra for early drop off or late pick up. You can do that for the length of camp or by the day/week. If you have a child who's less outdoorsy or can't be in the sun, there are indoor activities and there's always a person in each of the rooms. The kids come home tanned, sweaty, and usually pretty worn out. If you have a child who's less than enthusiastic, they'll acclimate quickly. (As far as I'm aware there have never been problems with kids or counselors.)

There are travel camps for the older kids which are really nice as well. They go by bus Lots of places some camps stick closer to home others travel further.

There's a room for pre-teens and teens with some video games and room to chill, get a snack, and do homework or listen to music. They have some teen activity nights which seem to be well attended.

In the atrium there's a really nice climbing wall, and some themed play structures for younger children. This is NOT a supervised area, you are required to stay with your kids at all times in this area... All areas for the younger ones unless they're in childcare. But there's really nice comfortable seating for the parents. This area doesn't get crowded at least not during the day when I've been there.

People work out in the fully equipped gym from 6 AM til 9 PM. They have personal trainers if you'd like that, and a track to run or walk. And I think they also do body fat measurements.

They have all sorts of lessons, activities, and classes for toddlers thru adults. They have a nice clean room with child care for a very reasonable fee which was on an incremental punch card system. I believe it's on a half hour or maybe an hourly rate per punch which of course they tally up. So be advised if you only meant to take an hour but end up coming back an hour and 15 min to an hour and 59 min you'll pay for an extra punch. Cards are purchased at the front as you walk into the building. They cannot accommodate children who are sick because it's just one room which generally has several children and lots of surfaces that would hold germs. So keep your sickies at home where they belong! (BTW, This it should be obvious, but you just never know, childcare is only for very young children AND is only for parents who are in the building taking a class, swimming, playing in the gym, or in the weight and track area. Don't leave the building, other than maybe to run to your car, or you might be greeted by the police or child services when you return!)

It's a really nice facility with pretty much something for everyone. As a resident you can join. It's not cheap but it has so much to offer. You can get a day pass for $5 and there's also a 3 month program. You can join the entire facility, just the pool, or just the gym. So it's pretty flexible. Rates for non-residents are just a bit higher.

I'm not a Westerville resident, but the WCC is only about 15 minutes from my house. It's a fantastic facility. The indoor pool is very nice (although occasionally the air seems oppressively bleachy and it seems like there could be better ventilation). We've done multiple swim classes with our kids, and the instructor seem very engaged. The gym and work out facilities are clean, and there's a rock climbing wall for most ages. Highly recommend.
