On Saturday December 28, 2020 at 750pm, I was sent from my doctors office with abdominal pain of unknown etiology. My WBC count was increased, low grade temperature, extreme pain, nausea, vomiting and constipation. I arrived at 754pm. We have been here since before 8pm. First the triage nurse was rude and making light of my situation by attempting to diagnose me with what she says is, not too serious . Then we get to the back and they just leave us for now going on 1 1/2 hours. I told the nurse that I was hurting and wanted to know had they forgotten about me and I was told, no, there s only 1 doctor and he s going as fast as he can and then hung up. Not once did she say is there something I can help you with? We call back and she has no ideal how many people are ahead of me and now you have to be seen prior to being assessed for pain. She again states that there is only 1 doctor. She says she will send in the nurse but as of now she has not come to the room. What happened to healthcare? The nurses here are just grouped at the desk. We came here when this was a Tenova hospital and service was better. Why is healthcare going down the tubes? Why is there only 1 doctor when there are so many people here? Budget cuts? Employee shortage? This is terrible.2 hours later they give her ketorolac. We request a CT because she is filled with stool and the 1 doctor agrees. 2 hours later we get a CT and after midnight they say I have a very large kidney stone and I have to transfer to their larger hospital. I tell them that I am still in pain. At 553am I am transferred to another ER (not a direct admit) and my pain is still ignored. My blood pressure is 142/99 and they still have not given me anything for pain and now I have to wait to be seen by yet another doctor. 20 minutes later a female and male discuss my care outside of the curtain where the doors are not closed. We could clearly hear them but they never enter. Who else heard them?
Is this good care? Is this what my insurance pays for in 2019? Is this what healthcare has been reduced to due to the war on opiates?

Never, ever go to the ER on Skyline. No communication, no care that we've been stuck in the hallway on a gurney for 3 1/2 hours. I'll never come here again. The only staff member who was remotely helpful was an Environmental Services lady who brought him some blankets.

I went to the ER because I was extremely nauseated and so dizzy I couldn't walk across the floor. I was advised my blood sugar was 384 by the paramedics and told that could be the cause. I get to Jackson to the ER and was told by the ER Dr that my blood sugar can't cause the nausea or the dizziness. He said I probably have Vertigo and sent me home. He never gave me one thing to get my bood sugar down. Just told me the "vertigo" should be better in a day or 2 and sent me home still so dizzy I couldn't see. What a QUACK!!
