West Michigan Cancer Center is one of just three cancer centers in Michigan to be certified by the American Society of Clinical Oncology. I have been a patient there for a bit over ten years. I have found the staff to be professional, kind and very helpful. I trust, respect and like my oncologist, who suggested early in treatment that I get a second opinion at U of MI Comprehensive Cancer Center. The super specialist oncologist there agreed with my WMCC oncologist both in terms of assessment and recommended treatment. The median survival for the particular cancer that I am dealing with is in the 22 to 26 month range and I am at 127 months! While I am fortunate to have cancer cells that respond to treatment, I also feel fortunate to have easy access to the oncologist I see in Kalamazoo and the nurses, massage therapists and billing people who work there. I do miss the "Lunch and Learn" series, the annual breast cancer retreat, and the previous arrangement of the chemo room that promoted patient interaction.

They help out people who have Cancer and their help of the staff is greatful

The people are nice very nice give you snacks water they're on time and that buzzard go off they're ready

My son has been seeing Dr.Rafi for a while.He has stage 4 cancer. When he went last week for his chemo treatment he was denied. Dr.Rafi told him chemo would no longer help him.As my son was trying to talk to him and thank him for his help he very rudely got up..told the nurse to contact hospice and walked out.Where is the compassion..if a Dr.is so desensitized to these situations then they need to retire.Here is a young person that just got the worst news of their life ..and to be so cold and unfeeling is just sad.

Really disappointed with this place. High Dr turn over rate, slow response time to calls, and every year when I have a CT scan, it s like pulling teeth trying to get results until my in-person follow-up with can be several weeks after. This time it s 1 week later, but they won t release my release my results. Just fed up.

On 1-18-21, an African American female on your answering service at approximately 6:55am was very rude when I called to see if you all were open on Martin Luther King Day. The delivery of her tone was not professional.

Also, it took me about 3 times calling them to even return my call

They are very polite and respectful employees and I was taken care of with care

Some of the best people Ive met. Great wonderful doctors. Words don't describe how amazing all of their staff are.

I have nothing but great things to say about West Michigan Cancer Center. From the receptionists, to the lab people, nurses and most of all the Dr's, I had as good of an experience as I could. If I ever develops cancer again, this is my first stop. Thank You Dr Issa for saving my life!!!!
