I have just had my annual mammogram and ultrasound at Warragul Hospital Imed. I was anxious after having breast cancer twice before. Latest last year during Covid lockdown. My experience today with Leila for the mammogram
And Lily for the ultrasounds was fantastic. Both ladies were so caring and kind. Both were so thorough and efficient. Thank you so much. Couldn't recommend highly enough.
Fantastic staff and friendly environment. We had our baby delivered in this hospital and kudos to the Maternity ward staff for being there for us every step of the journey.
I ve had many stays at West Gippsland Hospital- in emergency, surgical ward, medical ward and chemo unit. Absolutely every single staff member from doctors, nurses, hospital coordinators, meals staff, cleaners admin and porters are just lovely. They re proactive, kind and incredibly supportive. Yes there has been a small wait in ED for my son once but keep in mind- just because there may not be anyone or many in waiting room does not mean they aren t flat out to capacity inside ED!! They do their very best to treat patients and move to them appropriate wards ASAP. Have some compassion for the staff doing their best in an old hospital. Special shout out to Dr s Holly Atkinson & Mirza Baig- world class doctors. So fortunate to have that caliber to doctor in Warragul!! Forever grateful
6 weeks ago I had a much needed hip replacement and today I am walking pain free for the first time in my life. To the staff that cared for me I thank you for being caring and compassionate and to the therapists at Allied Health Community Rehabilitation Centre you are fantastic. I am so grateful.
Great hospitality at this hospital very kindly staff and considering I was getting a colonoscopy, the experience wasn't bad at all.

I was just in the ED with my 3yr old daughter. I was absolutely furious with the hospital and not staying true to their words. My daughter is very sick and I went in there thinking I was going to get the best for her. My outcome of it all was me discharging her after 3 and a half hours of sitting there and having nothing done besides blood pressure, temperature and checking her vital signs. I was hoping for a result of what is wrong with my daughter but never got an answer as the female doctor kept telling me that the senior doctor was going to be 10mins. He never turned up until I walked out. Here we are 29 degree day, I had my mum in the car sweating in the sun plus my daughter had also said numerous times that she was wanting to go home. Next time I will be taking her to either Traralgon or Berwick hospital. Never trust warragul for anything
Even though my Surgery was delayed by 4hours due to the Covid test and then one of the prep nurses misunderstood my preparation instructions. I am very happy with my surgery done the day before yesterday at the west Gippsland hospital. The service was great. All the nurses were really kind and lovely. Specially the nurses who were in ward 2 were very caring and attentive. The nurse Sharon was absolutely a wonderful and kind person. Would like to thank her and all the other wonderful and kind nurses that I can t remember the names. Also have to love the receptionist Linda who is very helpful and makes the whole thing a positive experience.
I have nothing but high praise for the amazing job the hospital staff do. Nothing was too much trouble during my stay and I felt my wellbeing was top of their list the whole time. This hospital needs more support and funding to continue their good work as the local population explodes (with all the new estates) and patients from further afield make use of this already overwhelmed service. Given the pressure they are under I would have to say they are all heroes. Thank you for looking after me
