Wellness Hotel Auerhahn Schluchsee Reviews

Nice location near Schluchsee, expensive wellness resort, good breakfast. The atmosphere is old school fancy, except for the wellness part, which is modern fancy and I liked a lot.
Small details like umbrella and hiking backpacks in the room were very nice surprises.
Some other small details like elevator on my side was just until 1st floor, my room being in the 2nd floor were surprising, but not necessarily very disturbing for me personally.
And the location at the big street was noisy, but still bearable. The view from the balcony was very nice if you disregard the big street.

I wanted to give 5 stars but WLAN was simply unusable. At least in my room. I mean simple googling, not even talking about Spotify or YouTube. Since there was a bad signal from my phone provider as well I had to live without Internet.
I think for an expensive hotel this shouldn't be the case.

Very good services.Nice Wellness area. But located at a highly frequenced road

Originally we had planned to stay here, but there were no available rooms for us. So we went here for cake and coffee. We are glad that we did not stay here for our whole trip. First of all: the location is right next to the busy main road, so you get a lot of traffic noise. The hotel is quite big with a suboptimal layout, so prepared to walk quite a bit. The receptionist asked us if we only wanted to have coffee or also cake, in a less than friendly manner. The cake was served by placing it at the farthest end of our table, instead of in front of us. Don't expect the waiters to smile or consider you an equal human being.
The small swimming pool is currently getting renovated. It looks much bigger on the published pictures than it really is.

Plus side: lovely view of the lake.

Addendum: A friend of mine is going to stay there next week, and was just now informed that they are no longer serving lunch meals.

Everythings seems good or okay, not perfect but still good

Nice lakeside hotel, but

1) mattress was too hard. Could not get comfortable at night.
2) pillow was not really comfortable. Only 1. 4* should have minimum 2.
3) very poor wifi in room, only 5MBS. No 4G in the area(Vodafone). Phone signal blocked in dining room.
4) on a main road (Bundesstrasse)
5) all inclusive dining option has no choice. 1 set menu or 1 veggie option.
7) only 1 small hotel bar next to the reception
8) no complimentary water in the room
9) nothing in the immediate area surrounding the hotel
10) only German TV stations. No English, French , Russian, asian or middle east TV. TV not connected to internet.
11) swiss prices
12) came back with diarrhea!
13) best part of the hotel was leaving. That's how uncomfortable I felt.

Good points
1) very clean
2) fish buffet was good, but no potato salad, no French fries?
3) swiss managed
4) room was a good size
5) breakfast was good, but not the best I have experienced at other 4* hotels. Bread selection felt poor for Germany. (Lidl bread rolls?)
6) spa area was nice, 2 sauna, 2 steam rooms and 1 pool and a few showers. Fireplace at the pool was decent.
7) service in restaurant was good
8) traditional blackforest dining room complete with cuckoo clocks (not functioning).

The quiet ambience, the friendly helpful staff and the incredible food make this a wonderful visit. And the scenery is beautiful!!

Friendly staff, many interesting accessories for esoterically oriented people like 12 types of water distinguished by each containing different gemstones. In relation to price, medium food and rooms. Wellness area has many offeeringsbut lacks daylight or a view onto the beautiful Lake.
Strangely, the management openly advertises populistic political literature and likewise wisdoms together with a display of reverence to the founders.
