Wayne county health department Review

I and dozens of others had appointments for our first vaccine shot, and we were all TURNED AWAY despite having an APPOINTMENT. No explanation, no reschedule. Just, "We're only doing second shots at this time," after waiting outside for half an hour or more.

I had a 4:30 pm appointment and did my paperwork and was seen promptly. I was out of there by 5:10 or so. It seems it is best to schedule an appointment. I also had a great nurse (forgive me for forgetting his name) who did my blood work and got me in and out quickly. They are all understandably busy, so be patient, schedule an appointment, and thanks for the hard work and friendly service!

Obvious fraud going on within this department. I know for a fact that one particular hotel near the airport has been reported numerous times for its poor room conditions since at least December and nothing has changed. But, then again, after see who it's run by, I'm not at all surprised.

Disgusting organization that is funded by taxpayers and thinks they are above the people they serve. Needs new leadership!

Take care of woodhaven wingstop who doesn t give tips to its workers and manager just keeps it. Or amigos Mexican restaurant where they microwave the food to make the cheese melt and make it seem as if it was a hot plate.

I went on vacation to Traverse City, MI on 7/25 - 8/3. During my stays in Traverse City my cousin whom I was staying with fell very ill and got tested for covid. The day her results came back positive I also fell very ill. I came back home to West Dearborn in Wayne county and tested positive for covid through my pcp on 8/4. I got a call from WCHD notifying me that I had been exposed to covid the day my results had already came back positive on 8/5. I believe the lady who called me is named Kelly. I asked her about protocol and the details about what I should do and she literally told me someone will call you . She showed zero compassion and total lack of any knowledge on what I needed to do. Today it is 8/8 and I received a call from JACKSON COUNTY HEALTH DEPT to instruct me on what I needed to do. I have been a resident of Dearborn for the last 5 YEARS. Why is jackson county health dept and the grand traverse health dept calling me everyday to check on me and instructing me on what I need to do when A). I haven t lived in jackson for 5 years nor have I visited in at least 5 months and B). I don t live in Traverse city Nor have I ever? WHY IS WAYNE COUNTY WHERE I OBTAIN RESIDENCY AND A CAREER AND HAVE PAID TAXES FOR THE LAST 5 YEARS NOT CALLING ME? I would hate to think this is normal behavior out of WCHD. I would especially hate to think that I am not the only victim of this global pandemic in this county, who s case is being thrown around from county to county and taken so lightly by the very county in which I live. This is completely unacceptable.
