I recently moved to Wauwatosa and have interacted with the police a few times for overnight parking and when someone hit my car. Every time they have been incredibly friendly and responsive. I hope I don't have to keep calling them, but if I do I know it'll be as painless as possible.
They will harass ANYBODY! If you ride a bike past dusk, you better have lights on them, otherwise you will have 3-4 police officers down your throat.
To pull a car over because you think a black teenager was robbing his white grandmother is Racist. To lie about why you did it is illegal. To question the black male teenager once you know better is illegal! Mr. Carter and Mr. Nelson Sue them for all you can get! These cops should all be fired and investigated by the Feds.

In January of 2018, they falsely arrested me and i didnt do anything wrong. I went to talk to my 50 yr old narcisist boyfriend at the time. But my boyfriend pulled his silent treatment on me and scratched his lip and of course he was bleeding. He called the cops and said i punched him. I never laid a hand on him. Thats what narcisists do, they are manipulators. He manipulated the cops. The cops wouldnt listen to me, so now i have a misdeameanor on my record. How can they arrest an innocent person that doesnt have nothing on thier record and let the narcisist criminal keep abusing women. He actually pushed me off the porch after i had surgery and rammed his elbow in my chest. He should be the one arrested. Narcisists are the bad ones. I was the victim. Here the narcisist boyfriend did a number already on me and the cops were making things more worse for me with the depression. And they say cops are the good guys. Not in my book, especially the wauwatosa cops.
This police force is full of monsters who refuse to fire an office for punching a child in the face several times as he screamed for his friends to call his mom. Cowards.

My wife and daughter had an incident. The dispatcher and responding officer could not have been kinder or more professional. I only have good things to say.
Tosa PD has never been anything but great to me. I have had a few occasions to meet them for one reason or another and each officer has been respectful, professional and courteous.

Just watched a video of your so called "trained" police officer punching a kid in the face. Very unnecessary and unproffessional. This department should be ashamed of this officer and whoever is still allowing him to have his job. This is one place my family will never be visiting. Disgusting.
I have only had to deal with the police officers one time but it only took them about a second to actually answer my question and let me know that Han I tried to help somebody I thought needed help I would have actually been putting myself in danger. And I verified with them that this woman who said she needed a ride to the bus station because she was leaving her abusive boyfriend that that was not the case because I was going to go and pick her up and bring her to the bus station. The officer told me not to because they had alredy been dealing with her all night long. Apparently she just wanted a ride and didn't want to pay for it. She also said that she had no weapons on her but the police department said not to take that word because they had taken weapons off of her before period they could have just told me I was breaking the law if I had picked her up and brought her but instead they reassured me that she was not another woman in need and that they would deal with it. They were very professional very polite and very out right
I love living in Wauwatosa, we've lived here for 5 yrs. I always feel safe and see patrol cars frequently.

The Wauwatosa Police picked up my dog who was loose and didn't know where her new home was. The police man took her to Animal Control where I found her and brought her back home. Thank you for being so quick to realize she didn't know where her new home was.

I was very displeased with the service I received when dealing with the Wauwatosa Police Department. The officers, two in particular, were extremely rude and unprofessional. I am not a resident of Wauwatosa, and they left a very negative impression of the police department and the city as a whole. I am so offended by those two, that at this point, I feel one star is too high of a rating.
I would be interested in resolving the issue, if possible.
Racist Wauwatosa police department I did nothing but they caught me and fine me like 440$ cause I have argue with my neibhor and he hit me and push me down two times and then cops show up here and arrest me cause I'm brown not white
