Good quirky day out & something a bit different!
There is a slightly odd air to some areas bit if you have a sense of humour it'll just add to your day, not a place for thrill seekers but you'll get a good day out with kids!
We loved this venue and would go back a million times, was fantastic day out for all ages and staff were lovely
Thanks for a great day of adventure. Xx
Fantastic value for money. Great for all the family especially younger children.
Well, what can I say about Watermouth Castle? You'll never visit another place like it! It's unique! From the very first rooms, with the robot band right next to a victorian kitchen (complete with a guy in the tub), you know you're in for one of the most random experiences you're ever likely to have sober!
The fountain show is a must! (just don't look too long and hard at the castle character - he flips from friendly to creepy if you stare too hard!), and make sure not to miss the Disney dioramas on the way out on the left.
Press every button you see on the way to the Gnome Village. It'll prepare you for the apparent randomness of Gnome life. Expect the unexpected..
After that, the rest of the park is fairly normal, and we all had a fun day out. We especially enjoyed the crazy snooker (yes, you read that right!) We may even choose to go again..!! Once the flashbacks have died down..
Excellent day out for all ages . Our group of 6 ( 4adults 2 kids) loved the variety . Better than Blackgang on the Isle of Wight
Lovely place well kept beer didn't eat so can't comment on the food staff very welcoming x
Really lovely. Lots to see and do. Children love it
For Adults - Quirky
For Children Under 10 - Awesome
There is more than enough to do here in a day. From the old arcade machines to gnome land through to spectacular gardens and rides. My daughter drenched me with water balloons, great fun!
Anybody that does not know North Devon please be aware that this place will test your fitness as it is very hilly and some places are a real challenge for pushchairs but it can be done.
Food freshly cooked and reasonably priced.
Entrance fee reasonable for what is on offer here, I would recommend.
Absolutly fantastic day out for all the family in a stunning location, the water bomb fights was the standout part for all of us such great fun and many happy memories made..
Thursday 10th Sep 2020, having checked the website which indicated Watermouth Castle was open, we drove there only to find it was closed. As of writing this review, the website still indicates it is open. It is socially irresponsible to fail to update a website, publicising false information and misleading the public.
I love watermouth castle, soooo many memories of when I visited as a child. With added new rides for the kids.
Unusual theme park in and around the castle.venture beyond the castle and the grounds are amazing.didnt know what to make of it at first but spent 4 hours wandering around
