Was trying to get my kids immunizations. Kept waiting on hold for 15mins just for a girl to answer and ask if I can please hold and wait another 10 mins with no reply. Mind you i was at work

Helpful local agency. WCHD Environmental Health is always responsive to my records requests with friendly staff and prompt service.

I called and spoke to Jill to find out my test results and was so disappointed by her. :(
She let me know they had received some results from the date before the day I tested.. Previous day I called and spoke to a man that let me know they received half from the date I tested and should be here following day. After stating this, Jill then went ahead and let me know that only some were received from the day I tested. Quite frankly it sounded like this woman had not a clue what she was talking about, how are you receiving these lab tests not by the date?? I asked her if she could please check again and she presumed to interrupt me and hung up on me! it s really sad when people clearly aren t happy with their jobs- just get a new one.

I been calling for three months now and they keep telling me to call back in two more weeks cause they're still going through a new system

Some of the most useless people that just stand around and do nothing. Tried to pay a bill. Was advised because i was not the person on the bill, payment could not be taken. All the account info is on bill, I gave to agent. Take my money! Im trying to pay you. These woman that work for the state are some of the most rudest, incompetent people I have ever dealt with. Never asked for information on the account just trying to pay.

Joke and more jokes sure they tell you show up 15 minutes early to do paperwork like all offices standard right ok ya I showed up at 2:55 my sons appointment was at 3:00 and of course the lady at the counter says oh you need to reschedule theres not enough time to enter the information but theres enough time to run their mouths how about the staff learns how to use their fingers in a timely fashion instead of running their chops. Ridiculous to say the least.

They are great! Their outreach is very educational and really made a difference for the community.

Been 1st in line on the phone for 30min! They don't answer! What is going on?

Submitted a complaint about a local business code violation online; it's been more than two weeks and ZERO response, not even an e-mail confirmation. Why bother offering an online complaint submission system if you don't respond?

As a single mother I wouldn't have made it without the amazing staff at Washoe County Health District.

This web site needs to improve. First of all I cannot view any resturants except those close to me. FIX IT. Kolo 8 says a new app will find good restaurants that make the grade.... washoe doesn't make the grade. I'm in south Reno just try to get inspected reports in the north... truth is web sites can and do address other areas but this web site does not. If they do then it's a impossible way to find out how.

I recently had the occasion to develop symptoms eerily suggestive of Covid-19 so consulted the WCHD website. There I was easily able to complete a formal questionnaire to decide if symptoms warranted a test. They did. I was then able to schedule a drive-thru test 4 days later which was not ideal but as soon as I could get it with non- emergent symptoms.
Nonetheless I found the testing facility to be extremely well-organized throughout and running efficiently. The sampling workers were very well attired in state-of-the-art PPE and artfully procured the nasal swab samples without undue discomfort.
The whole process was completed in 20 minutes.
My results arrived in 72 hours (again, not optimal but as promised) and ample instructions were provided for responding appropriately. While timeliness is still an ongoing challenge (everywhere I believe) I think the procedure here in our county is something to be proud of and compares very favorably to others in the country.

I decided to leave a review here because it has such a bad rating and I had such a great experience here. This place saved my baby and me! My husband and I are only here for the summer and we have medicaid in the state we are living in but it only works in that state. I called everywhere looking for a pediatrician. No one was taking new patients. I then called Ralston medical group and the lady on the phone proceeded to tell me that o couldn't come to them because I have my state's medicaid and I told her that he is considered uninsured (because he is in Nevada!!) And she wanted nothing to do with me so I found this clinic and they were so nice to me on the phone. I made an appointment that week. I went in, my baby got his immunizations that he needed (because every baby should be vaccinated) and I was able to pay out of pocket without insurance with no problems, all within half an hour!! Thank you guys for making my whole day and making sure my baby is protected!!
