Founded by Maurice Hobbs, the company started as two separate entities - 'Walden Motors' in Station Road and 'Hobbs Bros' in Station Street. In 1958, the company moved to its current location on High Street and was renamed 'Saffron Walden Motors' after acquiring the retiring 'Bailey Motors'.
