I have gone to this location and the one on swineburnie street several times to search for jobs . All they do is constantly hand out flyers about minimum wage paying jobs unless you have a degree. These people push papers literally and forgive my grammar and punctuation but this needs to be known!!! I was putting my personal information on an application at Social Security number and all. One of the representatives or whatever they re called had the audacity to sit by me and look over my shoulder and write down where I was applying. She honestly told me in efforts to make these centers seem beneficial to people the only thing they re good for is use their printers for free. All of the programs that they provide or small certificates no grants or loans in finding real careers! This woman honestly told me and efforts to make these centers seem beneficial to people. Is the reason she wrote down what I researched on the computer and my personal information and date birth etc. the only thing they re good for us to use their printers for free all of the programs that they provide or small certification no grants or loans to assist with going back to real college or anything. Your best bet is to use your own intelligence and go to the library do your research on your own on how to build your own resume take off that for free on google stay out of these places they try to dig in your pockets before you even get a job so they can get paid to push papers. And to put the icing on the cake I didn t need it but I asked the representative if they offered to pay for background checks or any shots or requirements should you get hired by a company they said no they re only good for is free computers use and free printing like I said go to the library.
Sincerely ,
Person violationed of complete privacy
PS. I recently discovered someone has tampered with my credit file when I get the opportunity to dig further if it was because of being at one of these locations it will be an serious legal issue. Because their computers do not always erase your information. BE AWARE!!!
Lack of knowledge. This location does not provide good support
The first time I was unemployed and without the help of anyone from those offices. And as a Puerto Rican I have not seen staff who speak Spanish in a state of so many people from Central America. I have not received a dollar of unemployment and I cannot cover my financial needs.
I've taken Wake Tech's employment workshops here. If you need help fining a job or getting back into the workforce, Wake Tech offers great tools to assist you.
Very bad service rude people at this location in special the very rude lady at the front desk miss hirma Hinton, I never going back I rather stay home with out work
Good staff that constantly seek to help the community.
Some of the staff look down on those seeking jobs. They act as though we asked to be in the position we are in. I called in with questions and the lady became irritated over my questions and dismissed my call. Karma has a way of catching up to people like her.
They try and provide rudimentary services to the unemployed. But they do next to nothing to help individuals find jobs or even connect them to opportunities other than directing them to the NCworks job board. Disappointing.
Not crowded; omputers and price ters available for use. Job training courses also available.
I AM RETIRED SO WHEN I LOOK FOR WORK I USE THE COMPUTER AT NCWORKS THEY HAVE BEEN AWESOME. RIGHT NOW WITH THE CORONA VIRUS GOING AROUND THE UNEMPLOYMENT OFFICE TAKES ALL OF THE PRECAUTIONS.
This NCworks office is full of hope and the beautiful people there were so very encouraging and helpful.
You have unlimited computer access to look for jobs.
When visiting this location there staff is knowledgeable and courteous, always willing to assist with genuine concern. If you are searching for employment this is where you wanna be helped.
Not as knowledgeable as they should be. Staff is friendly but some seem to lack understating of basic NC programs that are supposed to be run through their office, which you can read about online, but they don't seem to have been briefed on or trained on. This is especially true with the scholarship program. Also it's very difficult to have a face-to-face discussion with people about jobs that they have posted in the lobby. I get it that you're busy but seriously I don't think it's appropriate to post a job if you can't have someone standing by to talk to you about it. Not as professional as I had hoped. At least they are warm and respectful, the staff do have good people skills though.
Not an unemployment office
Everything is done online or by phone now.
The front desk receptionist, Betsy, was so helpful and very polite! Exceeded my expectations.
