I did not know this place and I really liked the park. Both informative and attractive
I did not know this place and I really liked the park. Both informative and attractive
Very beautiful place retracing the universe of volcanoes and natural phenomena. Too bad that the activity of the Puys balloon was not assured despite the magnificent weather.
Very disappointed with this place, a shabby restoration especially considering the price of a truffade very average and industrial I wanted to bring friends from Normandy to visit mets Vulcania and a family amusement park
Good, but my 4 and a half year old son was afraid of certain events. Too bad there is no indication of age in addition to that of the size !!
Very disappointing visit. You have to queue a lot (45 mins) to see the big attractions which do not last long and are not educational. The films are impressive but don't explain enough, too bad. As for the exhibitions, everything is not very well explained, it is better to wait for the presence of the animators. However, the site staff are very welcoming and pleasant and the park well maintained.
Pleasantly surprised, no wait at the time we went there. Activities for children
Good varied menu at reasonable price. Of the choice in the wines. Aperitifs served well. I will go back there
Friendly park and fun but personal catering very unpleasant to review, we are at the beginning of the season I do not imagine their behavior at the end ..
Much too expensive for what it is the attractions not changed for many years the quality of the films is to say the least of poor quality. the development of the Parc des Volcans is not up to par. the films which represent the region deserve a complete makeover very quickly .. it's really unfortunate to see that because Auvergne is much prettier when you visit it with the roots and wings of France 3. Vulcania is asleep on its laurels and continues to squeeze the tourist lemon.
Volcano-themed park. Many activities for all ages, fun or more serious: you will all know volcanoes when you leave the park.
The evening show for 15 year olds is superb, both poetic and pyrotechnic, a very good time.
An essential place in Auvergne, Vulcania is suitable for all audiences.
In recent years, attractions have multiplied, the museum side is much less present than in its beginnings.
Clearly a very simpayic park, a volcano-focused futuroscope
Ideal activity to do with family even with young children, nice animations
Only for kids, boring for adults. Only good part is the volcano cone
Playful place.
Not much waiting out of season (I went there in June)
In the middle of the season, expectations sometimes of more than 40 min, but much more entertainment: scientific shows, explanations of volcanoes, earthquakes ...
A magnificent pyrotechnic show, but few performances (ten over the year) and then you can see the actors of the show.
Currently a presentation outside of dinosaurs
The guided tour is to do, explanations on the park, the volcanoes ...
Superb family moment. Totally suitable for children 5 years old (more than 1.10m to do all the activities, there are 3 in all or this size is necessary) to 10 years old. A day is not enough but the tickets for a second day are really very attractive price level.
As the name suggests, everything revolves around volcanoes. Very instructive, children love it and adults too. Everything is covered in case of bad weather.
Park accessible by the whole family.
Picnic possible outdoors and indoors.
Friendly staff and very humorous.
Free parking .... very much appreciated.
We had a great day.
Little waiting, educational attractions but more geared for children up to 14 years old
very playful, very informative, to see absolutely with family
My expectations: to wahouw in front of volcanoes, to learn tricks, and to have fun. Nothing of the sort.
Reading the map, I saw that it seemed very complicated to me and that we spent our time looking at the schedules of the activities to which the animators told us to come 30 minutes before to have a chance to participate. Vulcania is a complex of projection rooms, there is almost nothing else to do, watching films sometimes off topic unless you have the courage to stand in line for 1 hour. There is so much to say and do, to talk about volcano. The staff are welcoming it is a good experience anyway, thank you to them. I hope that the Park will know how to change its approach. The only volcanic stones that can be seen are in the souvenir shop. I would have liked to see all kinds of them depending on volcanism for example. Geology and volcanology are field sciences
Super park for small and large at least 2 days to do all, very large parking, schedules well arranged shows. I recommend.
Far too expensive
Good for games
But a big flat for the scientific interest
Fun park
Little wait for attractions
Only negative point: it will be necessary to think of children between 115cm and 130cm because the screens are less visible with adults in front especially in 1st flight and angry land
A very beautiful place. Educational and fun, very pleasant staff and attentive to customers. Clean, distancing and wearing the mask respected.
Very nice pyrotechnic show.
Overloaded, 1 hour wait per discovery area to see 10 minutes of totally outdated 3D.
Distressing museography, very very low level.
Almost no place to sit on the site.
The convivial spaces (restaurants, cafes) look like motorway service stations.
This park must urgently review its overall offer
This opinion is mine, simply ... but I think it should be avoided.
On site at 11:30. Toiletes men clogged urinal. Warned person of security at the entrance. Answer: ah!? We are in Vulcania
So he does not warn anyone. In the toilets we walk in the urine that spreads to the ground.
I will give an opinion on the visit after my exit ... there is the tail for very high affluence cause bad weather ...
Very beautiful park, sensation and educational, the whole family loved it, lack of idea in terms of catering ...
Me, who is used to theme parks more like cartoon, I was pleasantly surprised: the very reasonable price, a lot of scientific, 2D, 3D and 4D animations, perfect welcome, free stroller and wheelchair, restaurant in reasonable price. A small downside, the parking which is super far ...
We are very fans of this place where we come back regularly very playful very interesting very well for all
Average attraction, huge waiting time. Difficult route between attractions.
Very big disappointment, too much confusion, it does not speak much about the volcano. Little activity for adults, in short if you are a couple without children, you can avoid it.
Animations and explanations varied for big and small
Great children and adults find their account. 2 days to go around are clearly a minimum
It's ok, there are some nice attractions but not all attractions were fun
Very nice educational place but a little disappointed by some entertainment for which you have to wait for very long minutes and in the final are not terrible.
Realy beautiful structure. Quite unuseful for non french speakers thought... all textes and info inside are in french. No second languages. Audioguide gives max 30 info out of the thousands inside. Sad paying over 80 eur a family and not being able to enjoy or explain the kids what they see
Very good for the family. Ideal in case of rain. Very little waiting at all cinemas. We opted for the cafeteria: a little stress in the preparation of grills, lack of punctual staff? Otherwise it was very correct for the price, accompaniment at will.
In busy times to do over 2 days. Take the guided tour at the beginning of the visit! ! !
My wife broke the neck of the femur because of a door threshold too high and not reported
It's fantastic. And the whole region of volcanoes is beautiful
I recently went to Vulcania with my mother and my nephew who really enjoyed it, it was very interesting. Everything was very well organized even with COVID-19 that everything was disinfected every time so there is no fear. The only thing that was tiring was the queues at the attractions.
A park very video-oriented, everything goes in the basement, it's nice when it's hot!
I went there he is 10 years old, and this year, nothing changed ... with the new technology it could be great because the idea is nice
My children did not like
very expensive for just 5mn projection sessions
In the top !!!
Lots of things to learn
Superb park, very informative, fun. We loved our day we will come back
Nice atmosphere, self-desired but caught by unforgettable attractions
Vulcania, the "European Park of Volcanism", is an educational French amusement park and museum with a volcano theme. Situated in Saint-Ours-les-Roches, Auvergne, 15km north-west of Clermont-Ferrand, it was officially inaugurated in 2002.
One of the attractions at Vulcania is the 4-D film The Awakening of the Auvergne Giants. In 2008 Vulcania opened four new attractions, including the Volcanbul, a GPS-driven robot that gives tours of the area around Vulcania. To quote from the Vulcania Web site "VolcanBul Eco-friendly and innovating the VolcanBul is an electric vehicle guided by GPS." It was specifically implemented to improve the rate of revisits and encourage visitors to spend an entire day exploring the different areas, rather than half-day as is usually the case for museums.
Rather an amusement park than a pity cultural space.
We were hungry for more. We would have liked to see more reports, photos and in particular made by the 2 vulcanologists Maurice and Katia Krafft. The animations are fun but more for a young audience. Also very surprised that they are inaccessible between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. ...
Very good day. Animations at the top and very interesting.
Very intense and interesting but I will advise you 10/10
Interesting science park but the timings of the sessions are very tight
It is absolutely necessary to go Vulcania ewpace fun for both adults and children
A beautiful day spent in this park. This is not an amusement park you will find some dynamic attractions (2D movie, 3D see 4D and seat or ground moving) attractions are well done. Then it's mostly expos that are nice but I find not enough fun for children should improve this point (can be an interactive tablet system or booklet with games). The animations and shows are nice! The children's corner to experience it would be nice to create a corner for over 7 years old we had 2 kids from 9 who were frustrated to be too big to do the experiments .... The park plan is not easy to understand at first. As for meals as in casiment all the park ben is expensive and not terrible.
Excellent hospitality, exciting guide, well designed to interest
Everything is done on site. Very little walking. Too bad we don't learn more about the very nature of volcanoes! Very suitable for young children.
A reminder to wear a mask in cinemas would be appreciated! Otherwise, hygiene is well respected with hydroalcoholic gel dispensers at the entrance and exit of attractions and cleaning between sessions.
Dynamic amusement park. This must be the 4th time I have been there since its creation, and I keep going around
Not very good the masts do not correspond to state service too fast hot dishes are brought while the entrance is not finished
A nice experience. Less flashy and sensational than Disney or the Futuroscope, but very good nonetheless!
Superb fun day in Vulcania, very popular with our children from 5 to 9 years old.
Great ! Top park to learn more about the world of volcanoes and nature! I recommend it if you are in the area.
Good family park, perfect for children, the volcanic characters are nice. Some attractions need a fresh start (especially Dragon Ride, Crater, and Angry Earth). But no matter how good the modeling of 3D dragons and the realism of the crater, the attraction really makes children happy and that's the main thing. :)
Adapts 7 years for the understanding of volcanoes after 15 years we are bored
Park really nice for the children the course for them and very well explained and he learns things by playing games, of which and very careful restoration catering for what he proposes can make an effort on the price view the size sandwiches offered just like the entrance fee which and a bit expensive for a family of 4, otherwise the staff and friendly I recommend for a visit in the puy dome
Nice park, pleasant for everyone.
We will come back
Bravo for your adaptation with covid 19.9
We feel safe in your park !!! Very good time with family !!!
Very educational and fun to understand volcanoes and internal movements of the Earth. To visit with the family. Many activities accessible to children.
Activities more suitable for children, a little less for adults. On the other hand a lot of places to picnic. In case of average crowds a day is enough.
I thought we would learn more about volcanoes but no these are most 4D attractions
