Vkvapt: Providing Nationalistic Education to Tribal Children in Arunachal Pradesh
Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalayas Arunachal Pradesh Trust (VKVAPT) is a non-profit organization that has been providing quality education to the tribal children of Arunachal Pradesh since 1977. With a mission to provide an all-round nationalistic education, VKVs have been striving hard to empower the children of this remote Himalayan state with knowledge and skills that will help them become responsible citizens of India.
VKVs are currently running 40 Vidyalayas across Arunachal Pradesh, catering to the educational needs of over 20,000 students. These schools are located in some of the most remote and inaccessible areas of the state, where access to quality education is limited. VKVs have been instrumental in bridging this gap by providing affordable and accessible education to these children.
The curriculum at VKVs is designed keeping in mind the unique cultural and linguistic diversity of Arunachal Pradesh. The medium of instruction is English, but equal emphasis is given on teaching Hindi and local languages as well. The aim is not just to impart academic knowledge but also instill a sense of pride for their culture and heritage among these young minds.
Apart from academics, VKVs also focus on extracurricular activities like sports, music, dance, art & craft etc., which help in overall personality development. Special attention is given on physical fitness through regular yoga classes.
VKVAPT has a team of highly qualified teachers who are dedicated towards providing quality education to their students. They undergo regular training programs conducted by experts from various fields so that they can keep themselves updated with latest teaching methodologies.
One unique feature about VKVs is their close association with Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari (VKK), which provides support for various activities like teacher training programs, library development etc., thereby ensuring continuous improvement in the quality of education provided.
VKVs have been successful in producing many bright students who have excelled in various fields like academics, sports, music etc. Many of these students have gone on to become doctors, engineers, bureaucrats and even army officers. This is a testament to the fact that VKVs are not just providing education but also shaping the future of these young minds.
In conclusion, VKVAPT is an organization that has been doing commendable work in providing nationalistic education to tribal children in Arunachal Pradesh. Their efforts towards bridging the gap between urban and rural education are truly praiseworthy. With their focus on all-round development of their students and a team of dedicated teachers, VKVs are sure to continue making a positive impact on the lives of many more children in this remote Himalayan state.
