The History of VJB Vineyards & Cellars

Vittorio Belmonte Sr., an Italian immigrant who came to America in 1955 with his wife Maria Luisa and their children, founded VJB Vineyards & Cellars. The Belmonte family has been making wine for generations back home in Italy. In 1999, after years working as a contractor building homes throughout Northern California's Wine Country region, he purchased an old prune orchard on Highway 12 just east of Santa Rosa.

In 2003 he opened his tasting room to share his passion for wine with others. Today it is run by his son Henry Belmonte who continues to honor his father's legacy by producing exceptional wines that reflect their Italian heritage.
