VNA needs to know they have a wonderful compassion...

VNA needs to know they have a wonderful compassionate woman in their employment. Renee Kemmeries, triage nurse for VNA went beyond the usual attention the staff of the family health care facility of Freehold give to patients in need of their care. I am in need of 3 surgeries and in consistent pain. I spent 4 days of trying to get my medicine refills and got different stories and supposedly they were sending my request, yet there was no conclusion. Finally the answering service reached out for Renee and due to Renee actually getting off her rear-end unlike the usual care given she made sure that I was helped and followed up on the outcome. If it wasn t for this caring person s actions there is a good chance I wouldn t be here today. Renee I wish I could do more for you than just letting people know what you have done. I need a caring understanding person in my life at this time. Thank you!

Terrible! They do not return calls and do not show when they're supposed to. My elderly mom is learning to take her glucose levels and give herself insulin shots. She s having difficulty and we called to have a nurse come, we get no response.

The nurses and nurses aides are very nice. The nurses aide are on preset schedules, so scheduling, although initially quite difficult, usually goes relatively smoothly from there. The nurses, who seem to be able to set their own schedule, are another story altogether. Expect calls the day of for random times when they feel like coming. There is no such thing as an appointment. And calling the main office number is of absolutely no use. Unless you are home alone and have absolutely nothing to do other than to wait around for assistance, you are better off taking an Uber to someplace for care rather than sitting by the phone waiting for a return phone call.

Response to response:
Perhaps you did not read the comment there early, but I have been in touch with persons at multiple levels of your customer service, and the concerns were never addressed whatsoever. Amount of time that I ve wasted on the phone trying to get answers for extremely basic scheduling issues is important, and no one should have to deal with it. If you are interested in making things right , feel free to update your response and let me know, and I will be happy to send a bill for my time for you to reimburse me for all of the on returned phone calls and empty promises made.

My husband was sick and Renee the triage nurse was very helpful and caring. She treated me like family. I love her!! She followed up with me, gave us resources and really went above and beyond!! I am so grateful God put us in touch!! I'm blessed!! So is Vna for having such a great employee!! My husband said he didn't get the doctor he was supposed to get but he was satisfied with the doctor and had an appointment for blood work the next day!! So far we are pleased and I pray Vna gets to the bottom of what's wrong with my husband!! I'm confident they will!! Thank you so much Renee!!!

I have been very lucky with the nurses and the nurses aides I have been sent to care for me. Tracey was my aide that was sent to help me with showering and cleaning and she was absolutely wonderful. Not only did she do a wonderful job helping me wash up but she was also very caring and after she left I actually felt my spirits were raised no and I felt really good. She is WONDERFUL. I have requested to have her continue my home care. My wound nurse Sara is also a great person. She is upbeat and kind and I feel so confident that she is helping with my wounds. I couldn t ask for a better nurse. All in all Tracey and Sara are angels sent from heaven to help me and I am so very thankful.

VNA is the absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. They treated my mother as if she was a piece of meat and didn't care what the family had to say or helped out in any way. I would never recommend this company to anyone looking for service for there loved ones. They came to my home and gave me a piece of paper and told me to follow the instructions on how to care for my mother. Wow so now she's considered a helpless person with instructions. I called the phone number that they provided me and there answer to me was "She's on Hospice what do you expect".... Really what do I expect..... I expect that you treat her like she is your dying mother..... I expect for you to answer my questions.... I expect for you to tell me how I'm suppose to give her medication. I expect for you to tell me how to drain her urine bag and I expect you to treat her like a human being.... That's what I expect..... I know that if this was there mother laying there helpless that they would go above and beyond.... It's horrible to think that they were washing my mother with dirty wash cloths and to know that I brought 100 of wash cloths..... they were using the same one to wash her private areas with and wipe her face off with.... I don't know if they thought that they were cleaning an animal in a foreign country but PLEASE whoever you choose I'm begging you to look for another company..... They didn't want to help her or my family.... They now send me letters asking if I need help.... Help with what.... you couldn't do the service when she was here.... why would I ever use your service anywhere else.... You would probably kill me too if you could.... PLEASE FIND ANOTHER PLACE.... They just let her slowly die.....

i felt compelled to share my incredible experience with Nurse Renee Kemmeries who called me to help facilitate getting an appointment with Dr. Gabby from Asbury and the Dentist there. Nurse Kemmeries was so empathetic and responsive to my calls for help, she was able to resolve my problem with scheduling immediately and she showed her concern and empathy with my medical issues in a way I have not experienced with medical care before. In such stressful and overwhelming times, she was a Godsend, and I was fortunate to have her advocate for me. She's such an asset - caring and loving - and provided a breath of fresh air in a very difficult day for me. Thank you VNA. You guys have been so wonderful with me and I appreciate your service to our community!

After a visit to the ER due to a fall I was diagnosed with a broken foot. This was 5 days ago and slthough I have a discharge plan from Hospital the VNA office in Asbury Park has not seen me or followed through on tbe referral. When you call and try and speak to someone u never get same person and have to repeat yourself constantly. They told me tbey wpuld call me back and do not. When I asked for a referral to oryhopedist I am slready a patient of they made referral to spmeone else. When they referred me to a cardiologist for abnormsl EKG when I arrived thdy never sent my medical records for foc yo review. iI am beyond frustrated by their lack of coordination concerning my healthcare and folllow through. Very dussapointing.

I would like to thank the VNA of Red Bank for taking such amazing care of me after my recent total hip replacement surgery.

The entire experience was awesome, but there aretwo people in particular I would like to salute and thank.

Amy who was my home health aide did so much for me and did it with a smile and a great spirit. I am so grateful to Amy for her kindness and help. It was a pleasure getting to know Amy and have her at my side.

Tess my physical therapist is a gem. Tess is tough, patient, persistent, supportive, encouraging, warm and funny. I had some severe setbacks early in my recovery and Tess was always there to encourage me, listen to me and help me re-find my way.

Thank you to your entire organization and please make sure Amy and Tess know how much they meant to me!

Sincerely, David Pletzner
