5 Star for the location and staff. Stunning place. However, 1 star for the dish I ordered - that's 36 Euro and you get a over fried/cooked seafood. I wish i had gone to a fish and chips shop See photo below

The staff were amazing! Every member we came in contact with. Ask at the front desk apt the Chefs tour. We got a tour of the kitchen and the chef took us to the garden as he picked freshly grown herbs, explaining all the items they grow on property. I would come back in a heartbeat

The Villa D'Este is a magnificent hotel with a waterfront view of the lake, a floating dock pool (which is very large - and includes a hot tub), a great and satisfying breakfast that is included, and has an extremely friendly working staff. Not only is the hotel gorgeous but the town in which it resides has many fun activities ranging from pubs to boutiques to ice cream and more, and of course these are only available if you feel the need to wander from the hotel which along with its included attached activities - it has a small golf putting course and many watersports available on the lake which also gives the hotel beautiful views from almost every angle.

Five stars of course .... Everything is perfect.

Five stars of course .... Everything is perfect.
The service, the cuisine, the dolce vita atmosphere.
The price for a room in the Queen's Pavilion ( 900) is still excessive.
The price of the legend?
If all the same, a lack of taste. Astonishing. Huge.
The color of the floating pool.
Electric blue. An insult to the lake and to this magnificent residence.
Please change the coating for the next season to a deep, almost charcoal gray. The water will have a discreet petrol blue color, in harmony with what surrounds it.
I will come back to check!

Very nice hotel, wonderful service, great food and a fantastic ambience. This is real dolce vita.
The rooms are a bit old, the bed was a bit too small
For my taste, and the furniture just isn't the most comfortable.
In addition, white plastic lying on the lake, without padding, is unfortunately a joke for this price!
Still worth a stay.

As always, beautiful, elegant, charming ... the gardens are always perfect, the colors are beautiful, the atmosphere is unique. The staff is very cordial, the service impeccable! To return, it is always a wonderful experience. And even if a long time has passed, when you enter you realize that nothing has changed ....

Extremely rude staff at the entrance. My partner drove me for an hour today so that we can see the hotel, have a drink at the bar as he used to come here as a child. Staff at the door didn t let us in saying they are full! How rude and pretentious. We went the other night to Grand Hotel Tremezzo who were so welcoming and friendly. I will highly NOT recommend this hotel to all my friends in London.

Very bad service!

Very bad service!
Despite the beautiful location, the service of the staff is extremely poor. We wanted to have a drink on the Terrace, within seconds after the nuts had been delivered, our table was surrounded by pigeons that literally came to pick the nuts from our table. This up to 6 times, even though you literally knock the pigeons off the table, they just come back and they are not pigeons from the Dam, but aggressive pigeons. The staff tries to chase them away, but because everything is "chic", this should of course not go with much commotion and they try to do this under the radar of other guests .. with the result that the pigeons keep returning, this is obviously not nice. So we just walked away without being able to get a drink / snack. For a place like this, with such prices, you can expect that the service is better and they offer a solution for this. Then we went to il Sereno, where the service is much better!

Probably a very nice place but impossible to visit if you are not a hotel guest - very expensive - where the restaurant, ditto ... really bad. I have known more open hotels. Without doubt an effect of mass tourism ...

I have been there several times at the Ambrosetti forum of Confcommercio, so for work. I, in spite of myself, have been able to enjoy little of the location, especially as regards the purely tourist aspect, but it is enough to see to understand the excellent level of things.
The incredible position on the lake together with a floating pool and many other services that I believe would be distorted by a textual description are accompanied by a wonderful historical park that has few similar.
Even if the 5 stars remain, I would like to point out a minimum shadow, most likely due to the unusual turnout due to the conference, concerning the fact that from the parking to the structure there was no support, in my opinion a duty of this profile. and with the right cost if you stay like me in the main building.

Disclaimer: I was there for a wedding, not a guest. That being said, the grounds are incredible and the staff seemed very attentive, capable and friendly. Definitely worth looking into if your going to lake Como

I attended a professional event last week in Villa d'Este. Although the weather was rainy and the lake surrounded by heavy clouds, the hotel is magnificent, with emerald-green grasses, perfectly cured, and red flowers. We had dinner in the patio and it is magnificent being like in the middle of the garden, thanks to those wide windows. I particularly appreciated veel with truffles, and the courgettes filled with cheese and decorated with mascarpone cheese. Also breakfast is eccellent in quality and widely varied (I recommend exquisite Greek yogurt). The halls are warm and elegant, and it is great to have a coffee on a sofa by the fireplace.
