Very unfortunate to have to deal with VMIA.... Its been more than 3 months since I carried out some repair works and I am still waiting for my payment. Stay away from VMIA. They don't even deserve a star!

Very disappointing that the DBI is last resort insurance. How many claims did VMIA payout on DBI claims this year? Was it zero. Where does all the money go from all of the DBI premiums? Why won't VMIA use the money to fix building defects? Perhaps the premiums could be used to pay for the replacement of flammable cladding?

Policy Denied. Builder went bankrupt and I decided to use the policy to help as it was intended but there are so many ways they can get out of helping it is not worth the paper it is printed on. My case manager Jacinta Biard got back after 7 months to advise that they had received my claim and another 8 months to deny it based on some small print.
