This now a small village was during the boom of oil production one of the richest town in entire Canada. Playhouse is from the era where we attended live performances. Tower Bell that is located beside the Playhouse building and is damaged by the fall during the building fire.
Enjoyed 4 shows for the 2019 season and it was a wonderful experience of music and comedy. Not always at the same time but both does happen. Recommend this great place for excellent quality theatre in a beautiful small community. Worth the adventure
We just went to the Starbright Christmas show. It was one of the best shows I have seen. Unbelievable talent. If you like lively singing, humour and great performances this should be on your list. Hard to believe a small town theatre can put on this great of a show. Guest professional performers just top it off. A must do again.
Great playhouse and fantastic actors. Very enjoyable play with our group of six on Sunday afternoon.
Murder for Two hilariously funny. We were nearly exhausted just watching the performance. Alex and Mark are phenomenal. Timing is crucial and the added facial and body language is just great. The piano playing is out if this world. - solo and duet. Well done and highly recommended.
A truly beautiful piece of architecture, I have yet to see a play but have been inside and live close by; I very much enjoy the view of The Victoria Playhouse.
Loved, loved, loved the playhouse. It is beautiful and so inviting. Great places to sit and enjoy a drink if you are early. Washroom is clean, & tidy. The theatre itself is lovely and has comfortable seats. The staff are pleasant, helpful and courteous. The play we saw "the new canadian curling club" was great, and we were still laughing all the way home. Had a wonderful time! Many thanks to all!
Performance was great. Very well done. Staff were very friendly. To get to the theatre itself in the building we had to climb a flight of stairs. So if you would need to use the elevator I would get there early to ensure you get to your seat in lots of time. The theatre also did a 50/50 draw at the show that was a great fundraiser!
The whole experience is amazing. Staff are wonderful and musicians and singers are so professional they could be on the big screen. Love this theatre and the last musical we saw this last time was Summer of 69. We loved it!! Cannot wait for my next visit which will be to see Dracula!
We attended our first Starbright Concert in 2018 and loved it so much we encouraged 16 of our friends to join us this year. To a person, we all loved it. Everything from the talented cast, skilled musicians, light, sound, costumes and choice of music/humor - it was magical. Please let Mark Payne and the cast know how much we enjoyed their hard work - made to look like fun from our perspective. We are already looking forward to next year's show.
