Veterinary Medical Center of Independence Review

I ve been going to this practice for for the past nine years. Dr. Baker has proven time and time again to be the type of veterinary provider that I want for our multiple pets. From annual check-ups/wellness visits, dentals, surgeries, emergencies, medications, testing and general reassurance and education regarding pet health she is the one who has provided us with outstanding medical care. Her staff (Sheena, Christina, Terri, Missy, Misty as well as several others) are always available to assist with pet care,
Including keeping pet owners informed of what is taking place. As a whole, this practice is professional, compassionate, and has a deep love for animals. This practice centers around client education so that pets can live their best lives and be a healthy member of their family. I do not hesitate to recommend this practice to anyone as I trust them completely with the care of my pets and the decisions and recommendations they make for them. I can honestly say this is the best veterinary clinic in Northern Kentucky!!!

This Dr. diagnosed my 7 weeks pregnant dog as pyometra and suggested $2000 surgery with spay (I researched other vet's, average was about $1000) as soon as possible. I couldn't believe she was sick and I refused to surgery. 2 weeks later she had 10 puppies.
If I followed this Dr's suggestion, we lost all puppies and potential breeding females.
I never EVER recommend this vet to anybody.

this office is family friendly, dr Baker does not hurry in -hurryout, she takes her time and tries to heal your animal, nurses are done to earth, roll on the floor with your animal, if needed, and what can I say to the girls at the front Desk "PRICELESS", I am so glad I found this place !!!!!!!!!

Had initial appointment for our cat after needing to switch vets. So far received excellent very friendly service. Covid protocol is excellent with curbside service and staff wearing masks. Also told about alternative services that should save money, which is always welcome.

If your pet needs care this is the place for you and them! We take all our gang down there.

I was not happy with this veterinary clinic's service. The vet man-handled my almost 4 year old Chocolate lab. She grabbed her head and tried to drag her to her so she could give her a vaccine. I was appalled at how they treated my dog. I will be switching vets for my pets needs in the future.

Dr. Baker took the time to squeeze my dog into her schedule and fully explained all aspects of pain management that were available. I have been taking my animals to this practice for years and have always been very happy with the care provided.

They are always there when the local animal shelter needs them!

I have only ever had bad vet experiences, and because of them I have severe pet anxiety. I refused to take my cat furbaby because of my fear. In the office today I was shaking more than my cat was because of my anxiety. Both of the women who assisted us were incredibly kind. They subtly acknowledged my anxieties and took such good care of my baby. They answered all of my questions, offered awesome alternatives to her diet and were both very well read and educated in all matters cat. I loved my first vet experience in years thanks to this amazing and compassionate office!

I'm a trucker working out of this area. They were able to get my elderly dog in when he had a problem, set us up as a new patient, diagnose and advise. Definitely recommend!

I really appreciate everything they did to help my Guinea pig, but was mislead. First of all I was told that she wasn't counted out to surviving. Second I was told her heart, lungs , and eyes were clear. Nope! I am in the medical field, and she was barely breathing and her eyes were not clear. I was charged 321.00 dollars for her to die less than 8 hours later. I asked and pleaded for at least partial remberssment. Nope! Nothing! While I appreciate you tried to save her, I was mis lead. Thanks for taking the money I did not have and essentially doing nothing for this poor animal.

Dr. Baker is an awesome veterinarian who truly cares about your pets and provides great medical treatment. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Excellent service. The vet actually came outside and spoke to us very informative.

New to area and 2 dogs suddenly got sick with GI issues. They got us in very quickly and helped solve the issue.

We are new-ish to Covington and needed to find a vet for our newly adopted puppy. This Vet Clinic called me back same day, and managed to fit me in the same week despite being booked 2 weeks out because we needed updated shots. Service was quick, our baby came out smiling, and our bill was $200 under quote. If you live in Covington then this is your spot.

Absolutely cannot say enough positive about the doctors and staff at Veterinary Medical Center. Their professionalism is unparalleled in my experience, but what really sets them apart (again, in my experience) is their obvious care for, and the personal interest they take in the welfare of, the animals for whom they provide care.

They are transparent with pricing and costs, which is very much appreciated. They've patiently listened as I laid out (overly wordy) descriptions what health issue I was worried about, and provided clear instructions and information in response.

And they keep superhuman hours.

I have no idea how they do it, but as long as I live in the area, they will always be my first choice for compassionate and knowledgeable care for my cats and dog.

Dr. Baker and her staff are amazing! Dr. Baker is extremely knowledgeable. I have had emergency situations with my cat on two occasions and Dr. Baker saved his life. Dr. Baker is kind, compassionate and always gives a thorough explanation of the issues and treatment options for my pets. Her staff members are friendly, professional and most of all seem to genuinely love my pets. They are always very helpful and patient when I call. I would highly recommend this practice! I wouldn't take my pets to anyone else!

I have been going to Dr. Baker for 20 years now. My cat, Craver, who is 18 and the ruler of the known universe, is treated like a rock star when she goes there for her checkups and tests. Seriously though, the whole experience is as best as you can get. From the wonderful front desk staff, the vet techs, and of course Dr. Baker, I always feel like I'm treated with respect. Caring for an older pet sometimes means you need things last minute and the staff always finds a way to accommodate us. I can't express how great the people are. I always felt my dog got the best of care with Dr. Baker and the staff. They truly do care as much for your pet as you do.

Always professional yet compassionate. I have had excellent experiences with appointments whether they were routine check ups or with a sick one that needed extra attention right away. Also there has always been great follow up from Dr. Baker and the staff as well.

Whole staff was great! Got in quick and I felt like they really cared. The Dr was amazing! Took her time to get to know me and my kitty Sal. What a great find!!

Took in my 7 week old beagle for his initial appointment and to form a care plan. The staff was extremely friendly and explained every step. The vet even asked about crate training and potty training and gave great advice for success. I am looking forward to being a customer here for the foreseeable future.

Excellent clinic. All the staff truly care and take the time to deal with your dogs individual likes and needs. Our dog is a pit bull and they treat her just the same as any other dog. She loves to go to the vet actually. We are very pleased with the care our dog receives. Id recommend this clinic to anyone.

My brother took his beagle to the Veterinary Medical Center of Independence after he got her, and he paid for a full battery of tests. It took him three months of calls and emails to get those test results. Every time he called he was told "We'll email them to you today." He finally had to go into the office to get the results. This whole time she had tapeworms, and we were trying to get the test results so we knew what kind of medication to get her. When he finally got the results, there was no test for tapeworms. They tested for roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, and heartworms, but not tapeworms. It was an entirely frustrating experience and we were immensely disappointed.

This place is absolutely deserving of 5 stars. We thought there was an emergency with our 13 year old cat, and with it being Christmas Eve, wait times were long at all the emergency vets we called. However, I called here, and they were immediately able to get us in and provide excellent care to our boy! We are so thankful and so grateful for this team!! Everyone was so kind and helpful and our cat is resting comfortably at home after determining he was having some gum issues. I strongly recommend bringing your pets here if you are in the market for a vet!

Doctor Baker is the best Veterinarian. She is kind, thoughtful, loves your pet and so does her staff. Would not take my two pups to any other place.

We switched vets about a year ago and I am so happy that we found Veterinary Care of Independence. Dr. Baker and her staff are friendly, professional, straight forward, reasonably priced and always available to work my fur babies in, in the event of an emergency. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my babies' care from here on out. I highly recommend them to everyone I know.

We've been coming here for years. Dr. Baker and the staff are great. They are always helpful, compassionate and knowledgeable. I feel our dogs have always received excellent care. Plus Zellie loves their treats they generously give out when it's time for her shots!

Our dog was seen in the Independence location and that is the best Veterinarian and staff that I have ever been too. We ve had pets for 49 years so we have a lot of experience. Highly recommended. So friendly, informative and kind to my pet and me. Nice to have found a permanent location. Thanks for a wonderful visit.
