Vesuvio Restaurant Review

Went on basis of write ups here and elsewhere, got a pie to go, OK, like mine with some more sauce, but that's my taste. Fairly standard pizza, didn't try anything else as noted

I have not tried many different dishes in "Vesuvio," but they make a mean
Chicken Parmigiano hero.

This is one of the restaurants, when I visit NYC, that I tell my friends "I have never had a bad meal here". It's excellent, hands down a must for an authentic Italian meal.

I used to go here in the 90's still GREAT. Outstanding menu and the food is GREAT!! Friendly service as well.

Expensive and terrible. I bought a medium Pizza with mushrooms and olives the other day, it costed me $21 and the pizza was burned from the bottom and wasn't fresh. Never going back there again.

Food is great. It's just the entrance is a pizzeria. Kinda weird.

I LOVE the food here specially their Cold Seafood Salad is to die for (whoever makes it needs a raise) last time I had to order 2 to go all for myself. On another occasion I Came to have dinner with my bf, waited maybe 30mts to be seated (which is not bad, for every good place there's a wait) and the service was great, The guys are very friendly No complaints. I recommend this place!!!!!!!!!

Never been there as I always ordered delivery but they have the BEST heroes ever!! Their Veal and Chicken Parm heroes are amazing!

Brings you back to a bygone era where an Italian Restaurant had decor reminiscent to older Italy. Food was delicious. Wait service was impeccable and the wine temperature was perfect. My recommendation is to feast here for rarely would you find Italian food prepared in a formal and time honored European tradition.

I hosted a memorial dinner here on Saturday 1/25/2020. The food was excellent, as was the service. Giuseppe, the manager, handled my party with unparalleled care and attention.

I was very pleased with my experience, and I would recommend Vesuvio very highly.

I understimated this place. A bit pricey, but i must say, it is incredible. By far the best pizza i've had in my life... no joke! They have a Caramelccino, which is a must have. We also tried their "Hot antipasto" which is Baked clams, eggplant rollatini, stuffed peppers and stuffed mushrooms in tomato sauce. This chef knows what he is doing, which he also came out to greet us for some weird reason lol but omg, seriously going back. Definitely recommend this place to anyone, they also have a variety of Vegetarian plates for those who dont eat meat. And the service, i must admit was very pleasent! One thing i wasnt to happy with was the waiting time to get our food, then again we went during Lunch so expect to wait longer than usual.

Always a go-to place in Bay Ridge. The entire menu is good, with simple cooking and generous portion sizes. Helpful wait staff and a very pleasant atmosphere makes this a great place for dine-in although it is a long-time neighborhood staple for take-out or delivery. Really the only problem is the difficulty in finding a parking space! But find one you will (eventually) and the food will make your parking search worth your time.

Wow! Very nice place. We ordered starter fried zucchini and broccoli for table didn't expect plates to be that big. For main we ordered carbonara - it was amazing. And also very nice service very professional. We will definitely come back . Thank you!!!

It would have been enjoyable but I fell in this establishment because of their slippery floors. And I'm still in pain from that fall.

Nicely spaced out during Covid-19.
Maybe this can stay as a choice in the Warm weather months from now on.

Delicious But Expensive So Make Sure Your Carrying Atleast $200 For 2 People It Worth If Your Looking To Impress Your Significant Other.

great service always has been since they were one sided with a bench outside i remember being a kid hanging out at vesuvius all the time they have grown and became so great and their employees are the best that s how u no they work for good people ! def go a bayridge landmark

Loved there lunch special but it was a bit to expensive for the food. But it tasted great.

Their food is pretty good, and the pizza is alright. I go here mainly for the food, not for pizza.

Ordered soup, salad and a meatball hero at 7;30 pm on Thursday 12/15/2016. Called back at 8:30 pm and asked what happened to my food and delivery, and was told by a girl that they were waiting on the soup to come out of the kitchen. What a lame excuse and crock of s***. First and last time for this wanna be dump! Called back at 9:00pm and was told food would be here in 10 minutes. What a disgrace. Anyway after screaming on the phone and demanding my money back, I was told that they will credit back my money and for me to take the food for free, and it was on us. Antonio please do not respond. Take your cold ,sloppy food back to your hopefully out of business soon disaster you call a restaurant.

Food is always great,reasonably priced plus good service.

Took my son there with 3 of his buddies and parents for his birthday and I would recommend it to anyone. The kids had fun building their own pizza and the adults enjoyed great appetizers and sangria. Friendly service and great food. The owner was also very friendly and accommodating from the time I made the reservation and during our meal. We will definitely be back many times.

Vesuvius is a family oriented restaurant with delicious food....the owner is personal acquaintance from my hometown in Italy, I recommend it to everyone

Pizza is good. However, I wish they had vegan pizza options and I'm sad they serve veal.

Ohhh, now this place I like. Perfect for foodies. The staff was very professional. Food was on point. Highly recommend.

Great party space in the back. My wine glass never got down past the halfway mark and the food was delicious.

The restaurant's food is excellent. I have no complaints. The waiters Freddie and Ryan were the most attentive and helpful waiters I have ever encountered. The floor was extremely slippery and these waiters helped me hand in hand and made sure I made it safe to my car. It literally brought tears to my eye. Restaurant's service is #1. Will recommend to anyone.

Never again will I eat here. Someone put best Italian food in the Bayridge I don't think so unless you like watered down Alfredo with pasta which is what came to my table. Yea I will stay with the best Italian food in Bayridge Gino's

Just had my birthday party there food was great staff was also great price wasn't bad i would recommend this place to anyone.

Although I grew up in Brooklyn, I have not lived here for 40 years. Vesuvio is what I think of as an authentic Brooklyn Italian restaurant. Family atmosphere, good service and tasty food.

Great food and great service! Servings sizes are huge!
