VersiTech has revolutionized and invigorated the point of sale world. The product formally known as RCS and VersiTouch has grown up and become VersiPOS. Focusing on what the clients want, coupled with an infrastructure to develop features and modules, VersiPOS has left the squirrels and nuts in the dust. As a dealer, I can take any restaurant and provide the strongest management tool that will help them control their operation whether they are at the restaurant, on the road, or even on vacation. The progress with VersiTech and the VersiPOS product in this last year has been astounding. The digital drive and determination to look beyond and provide a quality product is astounding.
For those of us who weathered the DOS and early generation Windows world, VersiPOS uses technology to its advantage without over-complicating the process. While most POS system do the same thing, it is how VersiTech/VersiPOS do it that makes the difference. With programmers that have owned and run restaurants, the system reflects their knowledge and dedication to the product.
From a dealer standpoint, you have a system that is as flexible as it is functional. Whether your client is fast food, fine dining, casual, diner, Mexican, pizza, or bar, you have a solution for any and all of them. Size of location doesn't matter either. Two terminals or 31, hand-held tablets or fixed stations, printers or kitchen video, single location or franchise, no matter the operation, you can provide a management tool that they can actually use. VersiPOS is not a "fancy cash register", it is a tool that any restaurant owner can use to maintain control of their operation.
Support and support matters. While it is the dealers responsibility to provide support to their clients, VersiTech provides support to the dealers. It is with the belief that technology enhances my relationship with my clients, VersiTech also uses technology to work with dealers in all time zones.

I've been in the restaurant biz for over 25 years and have worked with many different Point Of Sale (POS) systems. Versitouch has always stood out at the top, far and away from the rest, as a very stable, simple, logical platform for the restaurant to function from.
There are some older well established systems that simply weren't written with the proper logic to function for a server or bartender's needs (read: some tech nerds in a office somewhere deciding how the system splits a check or modifies a salad to light ranch and sub blackened chicken never ends well when you are slammed in a busy restaurant)
These systems are just a nightmare from the server being able to manage their ordering properly, to the bizarre reports that are able to be run by the manager/owners .. but more importantly the types of reports that are NOT able to be run to effectively analyze your business. Clearly NO ONE who has EVER managed a small business decided on what type of reporting is available.
There are some slick new systems that are amazingly hip and come from an amazing marketing team. The software is put together very cheaply, there are so many corners cut and overly simplified they again are totally flawed upon trying to execute difficult needs (read: trying to make the aforementioned substitution? after wasting 3 mins during a busy rush you find out it's not even possible bc the tech bros that put it together cut that corner to make it all cheaper) Also, the cheap pad-based systems are riddled with breakdowns with hardware issues. One system I worked with fritzed-out on average 3 times a week. Always after 5pm of course...tech support when you need it most? Nope! Oh, but these all have super sweet looking apps. Yeah so there's that going for them.
Versitouch is very very well laid out as far as logic is concerned. All the functions, from how to put in orders, how to modify items, how to run a report, how to customize your own specific reports, .. all of it, is simple and flawless. The program was written originally by restaurant people, so it does what restaurant people need, because only restaurant people know what we need a POS to do. The hardware Versitouch provides is bulletproof enough to stand up to many years in a busy bar or pizza joint. The techs are always there when you need them, day or night.
With Versitouch you aren't just buying a product and service, you are buying both a product, service and you are also buying into a long term relationship. Versitouch started as a home grown small business that has stood the test of time, navigating major market shakeups like recessions and tech booms ... all under the premise that they never stopped delivering a simple, cost effective, stable product that does what you need it to and by taking care of your needs in a timely fashion along the way.
These guys are top-flight folks who sell a top-flight product. You would be crazy to go with someone else.
We were using "another" POS system at Portland Meadows for years and not happy at all. In our new Portland Meadows location we made the switch to VersiTech/POS and couldn't be happier.
