The day of the move 1 hour late
It can be busy I understand, but it would be better if they just call customers to notify ...

Man with ladder lift finally arrived at 12:15 pm. I know they are not all of them but this man in question was very unfriendly, rude and short.

1 week waiting to assess inventory to move. 1 week waiting to get offer, which supposed to be sent a day after. We got the mail with cost estimation and planned moving 3 working days before moving. We accepted it, as it was too late to look for another company. However the day before moving, in the afternoon , we got the email that moving in the planned day is impossible and if we still want move in another day, we need to prepay 800 eur and of course pay extra parking day. Completely not proffessional.

Had rented a van, it turned out that it had been given to someone who had not reserved. After an hour of waiting, a van came from another branch with which we could still leave. As compensation we did not have to refuel, therefore three stars.

All moving very nicely and worked well until someone slides down the stairs with a cupboard in his hands. Damage to stairs and laminate. If you talk to them about this to arrange this with the insurance, the atmosphere suddenly changes. Anyway old damage sir, I see that immediately. Ahja, but you just fell with the cupboard in this place. No No old damage, no insurance. They still had to get their money, so suddenly friendly again: we take pictures and fill out the insurance papers on the desk. Never seen anything. Nice with a brand new staircase !!! If you need demolition workers have 1 address: demolition works de Roeck at your service!

Moving lift ordered from De Roeck Moving. 15 minutes late, we call to ask where he is. She says -without any excuses- on the phone that he will be 30 minutes late and that an exact hour is never given (?!). Nowhere on the website, never communicated by email. Monkey sandwich; call themselves professional? Best tip: go elsewhere, you will save yourself a lot of relocation stress! The moving lift finally arrived, almost an hour late. Again without apologies.

The move went perfectly thanks to the help of the De Roeck movers. Very friendly from requesting the quotation to the final move. I definitely recommend them !!!

Last week we moved through De Roeck.
We indicated in advance which furniture should be disassembled. The move was planned from 8am, leaving from the warehouse.
When the movers arrived around 8:20 AM, they started loading the truck. We had sorted everything by floor, but this made little sense. They didn't even look up to estimate which materials needed to be loaded when or how.
When we told them that wardrobes had to be disassembled, they not only were aware of this, but they did not even have material with them to do this (not even a simple screwdriver!)
Someone special had to come to bring material (while the hours continued to run). Disassembling cabinets was very difficult. When we asked one of the movers about this, it turned out to be the first time he had done this, although he claimed to have been working for De Roeck for several years. This resulted in a loading time of 5.5 hours for loading 50 boxes, washing machine, dryer, sofa and dismantling three wardrobes.
When the truck finally left, one of the movers asked if I wanted to enter the address in his GPS.After I did this and the truck left, I stayed for another 30 minutes to clean the house (my wife had already left for our new home ).
When I arrived myself, the truck turned out to be driving in our street for me. Apparently bad GPS ?? The driver, on the other hand, thought this was rather funny.
Unloading was just as difficult as loading. the furniture turned out to be incorrectly assembled afterwards, so we had to repair it again ourselves. In the end, my wife and I largely unloaded the truck ourselves due to the very slow and unstructured process. The professional know-how of a moving company turned out not to be present.
When we finally received the invoice, it turned out that people already started invoicing from 7:30 AM while we lived 15 minutes from their starting place. Apparently the trip between Antwerp (Merksem) and Deurne-South takes 50 minutes on a traffic jam-free day. When we mentioned this, people continued to insist that they left at 7:30 am. The conclusion was that the invoice had to be paid immediately and without discussion.
We have moved several times in the past without any problems. Judging from the website where they speak of a 'professional moving team', we unfortunately had a very negative experience with De Roeck.
Unfortunately due to the clumsy approach we received a hefty bill (more than double our previous move 5 years ago)

They changed the price of the move on the day, while the move was happening. Charged extra for driving time, which was different to the time they said they left the office. That said, the movers did move everything well, taking care of the furniture.

Well I just heard from a friend that he had rented a van, now it appears that he has refueled twice and the tank was full and now they are still demanding 25 on top and when he proved that he had refueled they claim that they would have refueled an extra 11 liters, and that for a piece of the metropolis until something behind it, so less than 500 meters. If this van consumes 22 liters per kilometer, this is 220 liters per 100 km. I would stay away, they are crooks. Complaints to the competent authorities.

First of all, you get a van that is still hanging together with difficulty, windshield completely cracked, stars that Carglass can get his half-year turnover from, piss everywhere, too embarrassing and too dirty for words. Then someone drives the glass out of your mirror and you can dock an extra 45 (?!) For it. Well, that's 45 worth of duct tape they can buy to stick their vans for another year. I much prefer to pay some extra rent at, for example, Dockx Rental, at least you do not drive around with them in a family Flodderbak.

Yes I do not normally do this, one is always slightly better than the other, but what we have experienced here is almost impossible to describe. My mother died last summer and her house in Wallonia had to be emptied. I rent a van there, without straps or other fastening methods, no none of that. Well the car is loaded over there and I have to close the driveway, so I pull the handbrake up to the Max because it slopes there and jump out of the car. At the same time that I get out, the car drives forward, hitting a post and using the handbrake. Now there was very light damage, a superficial small crack on the headlight and bumper, with all other dents noticing. Since it was 3am in the morning and their parking is full of cars that are there from some jumping tent and fighting all night, they come to sell drunken talk and you can search there for at least 45 min to find a parking space . When you finally have to park it with another company, they also complain about it. I put a letter to the papers explaining it and the result was a bill on top of my warranty that wasn't wrong either. The handbrake has clearly failed, I am also mechanic so I don't just say something. I don't feel like fraudulent situations either, so I kept to the facts and the regulations. I even went to the police before here in Merksem to have a PV drawn up, but the officer said that it was not necessary, because they are insured for such matters, but I will lose my guarantee. I have no decent words to describe this type of practice. Then they will laugh at you even if you say that you have to go to the police court, now I understand why they laughed, but I will not go into that here. My advice, my technical advice is: "NEVER RENT AT THE ROECK, if it ended well you have been lucky or a casual car that is ok. This company is straightforward just dangerous, not only for others but it could also be your life devastating, if that thing makes movements that it is not allowed to make, it can become a very expensive joke for you, very expensive indeed, so if you cannot be sure that what they are pushing in your hands is actually technically completely in order pay a little more somewhere else, but at least their service is fine and their fleet is maintained as it MUST be and the ROECK does not.Your safety is clearly not their top priority.

I hadn't hired de Roeck, but the firm who ordered it "passed it on." Worst decision ever to agree. A group of men arrived, of which 3 out of 4 clearly indicated that they were not in the mood. Consequence, bounce and collide with the furniture. The TV was scratched during the move which was completed in the evening. De Roeck's reaction, you should have put that on the receipt. Yes, I did not know then, only seen in daylight the next day. Then sent an email, reminders and telephones. No answer for weeks. In other words, VERY bad service and no reliability. They will not see me again here.

Last weekend I rented a van at De Roeck! Very friendly reception when picking up the vehicle. The van itself was also very clean and well cared for!

Rent something quickly and easily with a very friendly and clear service

For the rental of a van, all well and good, but if you use this company for the move, keep in mind that there are too few moving men, a truck that is too small, men who say that something is not going came to have a look and according to that person it went well ... I wish everyone the best of luck who moves with this firm.

Same story every time. Discussion about damage that was clearly already there when collected. Every time they find a scratch with no (almost invisible) sticker and they try to put it in your shoes. Fortunately, I had taken pictures before leaving and I had evidence. The same scenario twice in a row so I certainly never rent anything here.

Although I had clearly stated that I did not want additional insurance, I subsequently saw that considerably more had been deducted from my visa account than the agreed amount. When I started to report this theft I was sent from the cupboard to the wall in a very unfriendly way by very incompetent staff ... I finally gave up reclaiming my stolen money ... one golden tip .. rent a vehicle elsewhere ! That I had never seen a rancid interior before, and that I even needed gloves to prevent contamination, is something I leave aside. Never again!!!

Appointed for an urgent lift work, but did not show up. Driver supposedly called me, and had my appointment canceled in my name. Dispatch has then reacted unfriendly and diminishing, while they are even in error. Will never recommend to anyone.

EXCESSIVE DURATION! Hired 4 people: starting price 550 eur (2h). Paid almost 1000 euros to move a small apartment about 5 km away. The customer service in one word: unfriendly. Most scandalous service I've ever paid for. Test purchase material is this.

Overall cheap and good service, would rent from this company again. Being 21 years old it was not easy to find a firm willing to rent me a moving van. Here the only condition was that if I had an accident, the insurance would cover 200 euros less than a "normal" driver. Apart from that the age was a not a problem. On the phone they answered all my questions and were very nice. On the day itself it turned out I did need a credit card even though I had explicitly asked if I could use a debit card on the phone (and they said yes).

Horrible and disrespectful. A wonder that the case still exists.
