Veldemeers Belgium Chocolate Review

The place has greedy staff. The waiter insulted me in front of my 3 guests because the tips of 1.7 USD was deemed insufficient, he said that it should be 10% of the bill. I thought tips was voluntary! Do not count with me bringing in guests again.

The manager refused to come and speak to me to address my issue. Despite the fact that the cafe was almost empty. The floor staff are decent but the manager's behaviour is reprehensible. Would not recommend.

Great food, place rather small, if you get there during peak time you may have to wait a while for a table opening.

I really enjoyed the breakfast and if I would lived closer. I would have my coffee there every day. The place is elegant and welcoming. Food was lovely and served quickly. My boyfriend and I love their rich velvet chocolate cakes. They are to die for. The only issue I had was there being no prices for the breakfast menu otherwise I love it!!

Two vegetarian options. Horrible food. Get frozen meals before you come here. Desserts are mediocre.

Excellent service by waiter Munyaradzi. Quite accommodating. All covid protocols being observed. There is ample parking. The waiter knew his menu very well and advising portion sizes depending on hunger levels. Food presentation was on point and the taste was amazeballs. Reasonable portions as well quite value for money. Would recommend it for breakfast, lunch or dinner (closes at 5pm) and anything in between.

The croissants here can't be matched and we have been to many a Cafe in Harare. We love this place. It's close to the shopping Centre the staff are friendly. And the service is good.

So happy I found a good lemon cake place! And glad that they were open on a national holiday. Good ambience, the cashier was quite unfriendly but got the job done. Ice coffee was too sweet and quite disappointing.

Delicious belgium waffles, fast friendly service and an inviting fire burning in the fireplace. The perfect place for a hot drink and something delicious to nibble on on a chilly evening, admittedly a little pricey but well worth it. Our waiter, David was great. Keep it up Cafe Valdermeers

We always love having coffee and cake here. The kids love it too.

The ambiance is great. The service is very good. It is our favourite place in Harare. The only downside is that the quality of meals can be inconsistent. Some days the meals are just out of this world. On others very mediocre and same meal prepared differently. Please work on consistency.
