The price was outrageously expensive for India and the food was not much better or the menu was very different from that of simpler places. All the food was very spicy, even though we asked and expressly asked that it not be. The atmosphere is nice. One of the waiters we dealt with was very correct, but the other quite unpleasant and almost intimidating. It is not highly recommended if you are looking for something different and level in India.

I went veda for dinner. The ambience and service was good, bit conjusted. When you enter the place, the chandeliers and dim lights give you a royal feel. But, if I have to talk about food, its not that tasty as its priced. I fond it over priced, according to the taste and presentation of the food. Even, the drinks were average. I have been to the better places at that price.

I loved their very traditional looking interior. They have candles on each table and the restaurant is very dimly lit which makes for a good ambience. Drinks are available as well. The food was very good. The service and crowd was too good.

A little hard to spot with all the construction going on around it, but easily the best restaurant in all of Delhi. Kitchy, mirrored decor and chilled ambiance add to the experience that the amazing food already ensures will be great. Extensive wine and spirits menu puts this place over the top.

This restaurant is fine dine restaurant and the menu card given on zomato is entirely different from their fine dine menu card. Therefore visit only if you are willing to pay fancy fine dine rates.

Food is little bit expensive and if you have zomato gold then you can save a bit. We tried Chicken dum biriyani and also a chicken curry. Both were less in quantity and taste was good. The hotel ambience is so nice and it provides a heritage ambience.

The location is goid, the ambience is also nice.

The location is goid, the ambience is also nice.
This is located behind the high street.
The interior is an eye candy thinh, the decorations, and seating.
It was thoroughly a nice experience.
The staff was cooperative and polite and was serving well cooked food right on time.
The dishes was nice,
I had the mix berry smoothy and a vanillaoreo shake,
The mix berry wasn't of my kind, byt the vanilla oreo is a must try thing.
The startes were much appreciated.
Ordered a chicken platter and a veg Platter.
Both the dishes were tops class.
Liked the cheesy broccoli they included in the veg Platter and the afghani chicken in the chicken platter.
The main course was also up to the mark.
Had daal makhani, paneer, mutton roganjosh,
Butter chicken, and breads.
We also had prawns and fish.
The mutton of a little out of spices but the butter Chicken was just amazing.
The chicken was melting right after the point you eat that.
In breads, I liked the kulcha, stuffed kulcha they gabe.
It was just amazing.
And daal makhani was a bit too thin but tastes good.
The place is a must try for a soothing experience of a better fine dine place.
The desserts were such the candy to the whole experience.
They served four desserts.
Lichi ki teheri, gulab jamum, phirni and kulfi.
The best was lichi ki tehri,
The base was rabri and the frozen lichies were there on the top.
All together a wonderful experience.

This is a long review, so brace yourselves.

This is a long review, so brace yourselves.
The food was fine/good enough
But still doesnt justify the exorbitant prices. The menu is the most simplistic one I have seen in all of C.P. which makes me wonder what were they thinking when deciding the cost of the dishes.
The most irritating thing for my friend and me, was the constant staring of the waiters and waitresses and their extreme-eagerness to take away our plates/food as if waiting for us to leave.
We were just two normal girls wanting to have a good chat since we were meeting after a long time. This was a very bad experience. We ultimately left after being made to feel so unwanted. Other points -
1. There was this huge group of middle aged men who were talking and shouting so loudly that we couldnt hear each other (no music). If at all, the waiters should have made Them feel unwanted.
2. The restaurant was almost empty when we had arrived (just 3 tables occupied in almost 20).
Nothing justifies the horrible experience of making us feel conscious.
The 2 stars is for the food since the chefs did their job well.
They seem to have kept the name 'Veda' to attract foreigners as if giving out some super delicious ancient dishes of India. Lol.
My advice - Do Not visit this restaurant if you plan to chill with your friends. I had visited due to the good ratings but it was a very bad decision.
I have added the bill for you to decide for yourself.

Been here a couple of times, being a family restaurant it is not dark and crowded, the first floor seating is better. The food is the highlight, as it should be. The staff is courteous but take their own sweet time. Only visit if you want to a longer duration.

When the roots belong to none other than Veda, you...

When the roots belong to none other than Veda, you know that you are about to expect Authenticity at it's best. Couldn't have expected less and Indian Republic Canteen by Veda has emerged as a Replica baby of it's mother Veda restaurant.

As the name goes along with Canteen, this place is in the concept of offering best of Indian and Regional cuisines according to the weekday plan and also Daily all time favorite and sides. Loved the concept as they strictly focus on quality meals curated day wise rather Quantity.

Served in Earthen pots and sealed with see through packaging well labelled reminds you of the cultural root from where Indian Menu has especially been curated. The Earthen pots with banana leaves not only adds to the visual aesthetic appeal but also enhance the taste and delight of dining. We were in hush and really wanted to try food from this place from quite some time, so we requested A Take Away.

1. Full bowl Dhaniya Murg:

2. Roti Bowl Daal Makhni:

A medium portion of Delicious and original daal Makhni along with 4 Tawa rotis was something to die for. I have faced lot of disappointment when it comes to daal makhni. They have nailed the daal makhni original flavors to the core. Rich and non spicy or buttery, this is love. Ideal as a full meal for 1person. Highly Recommended.

3. Roti Bowl Butter Chicken:

I am overwhelmed with their preparations, and this dish takes a bow. Unlike the sweeter variants of this Delhi special, I love the mild spice that balance the sweetness of the gravy. It's a must try and Highly Recommended. Beautifully Done.

4. Full Bowl Kaithal Biryani:

I am a Biryani fan and Kaithal too and immediately opted for this dish the moment I spotted it on the menu. Fingerlicking good. Served with mint curd, the Rice grains we're so fluffy and full of taste and aromas. The Kaithal was coated and fried in batter that kept all the juices intact. This is bestest Veg Biryani for me.

For the Cherry on Top, the pricing and portions they are offering are stellar. Packed in individual Earthern bowls that are microwave proof and so reasonably priced, I am sure I will be a regular and loyal customer to them to ask Aaj khaane main Kya hain . HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!
