Well, I can t speak to the age of the carpet (see review below) but it sure feels fine underfoot. I ve been driving 1.25 hours into the Woodbridge office from Waterloo for some 15+ years to have my taxes done at VCA. I have a reliable, predictable experience and the price I ve been charged is very reasonable and has been steady for quite a few years, now. My taxes are complicated by the fact we re also taxable in the US. I ve learned to do the necessary background work for both the US and Canadian sides and I have a separate US tax preparer. Interestingly, I ve had four different US preparers over the past 7 years but only one Canadian tax preparer, namely VCA. I ve switched up my US service because it s always been at least twice what I pay to VCA and the accuracy and timeliness of the US service cannot hold a candle to the service I receive at VCA. To be sure, I come in after the April rush as it takes me that long to get the US stuff shipshape, so I can t comment on doing one s taxes right before the April 30 deadline. The other thing I like about VCA is that my preparer takes extra time after the taxes are done to use the software and look at what-if scenarios as part of tax planning for the following year. This is one aspect of the administration of our household that is as close to autopilot as it gets. It just works.
