Vantage Homes Review

I have done work for Vantage for about 15 years. I just had them build us a house because of haw impressed I am with how they treat their clients and the quality of their homes. I was even more blown away after being a client. What a great experience. Christina Walker was our sales person and she was so great to work with. Kendrick and Max have gone above and beyond after closing. We really have had but just a few time things to touch up because the build was done so well. We couldn t be happier. Thanks everyone.

Our experience with Vantage building our new home was absolutely wonderful. From the personal attention we received from Dori in the sales office, to Nick the building superintendent, to Tony the warranty man, we were treated to prompt, thorough, attentive service that in every instance went beyond our expectations. We had multiple interactions with each of these individuals (and others, such as Karen in the Design Center). On every occasion, we were treated as if we were the most important people in the world. Every question was answered thoroughly and every concern was addressed right away. Our experience in buying the home was as close to perfect as one can get, and we feel that the Vantage staff is like family. I highly recommend Vantage.

We are Vantage buyers and needed to see the Mustang model at The Farm to help make design decisions. We arrived early and Lynn was very nice to let us in. However, when we had been there almost 30 minutes, Karen came in and ask us to leave. She said, in a haughty way, that it was the law that visitors could only stay a half hour! Karen was quite unfriendly and unprofessional and does not represent your company well. When we voiced concerns about being rushed, she said we should not have bought if we weren t ready for the process. Very disappointing!

Great quality home build. Awesome communication with no surprises. Base options are like upgrades for other builders.

The excavation sub contractor that Vantage Homes uses caused extensive damage to my in laws lot while excavating the lot next to theirs. Two sprinkler lines were punctured, cable tv was cut and their air conditioning unit is on the verge of falling into the hole. Not even as much as a note on their door when they retired from a day trip to find this at their home. I can't believe this is acceptable in our community!!!!. I can't believe this is acceptable in our community!!!!

We purchased in Sanctuary Pointe and could not be happier. Excellent process from beginning to end. Worked with Dori as our primary agent but also had the pleasure of being helped by Cindy. Dori was extremely professional and very honest the entire time. Our super Joe was amazing and very responsive. The end result was a well built house that continues to please us at every turn. We love the area and feel very confident in our choice of builder and location. Thank you Vantage for building the house of our dreams!

Having worked with Vantage since Oct....we have had multiple issues...first our sales agent made statements that turned out needed much higher management approval and caused quite a bit of stress and discussion....I've heard similar issues from two other neighbors....not the same sales person.....
But if there is one reason I would NOT consider buying a Vantage home is their construction process is totally insensitive to the long term interest of the buyer.....example....
Would you buy a home where a conversation in your master bedroom can be easily overheard in a guest bedroom below you? The Seabrook model in NorthFork at Briargate is what we bought and now find out! You have to move in to find out...two separate guests commented on this to us with out prompting. Vantage respond that this is not a defect.
Also, in an area desperate to conserve water, and unlike many other building codes in similar states....running large loops to carry hot water wastes a great deal of hot water....and water costs are very high. Example, in the Seabrook model, you have to run the water in the shower or sink full blast for 1 minute and 20 seconds before you get anything warm enough to step into!
With a sensitivity to conserving water and saving buyers alot of money, each location in the home: Kitchen, bathrooms should have a 'home run' from the manifold handling hot water. This is a common code feature in most places sensitive to water usage control. Not here.
Vantage has 'declined' to address these issues as that they are standard practices. So if you want an expensive home with only standard features....here's your builder.

I have really enjoyed working with the Vantage Homes team. They are really good people who care about their homeowners.

From Dori, the realtor who represents Vantage, to Dane the construction manager, to Mike and Tony in warranty repairs--all of the Vantage staff have been great to work with. Good communication during all phases of the actual construction. Easy to schedule the few punch list clean up items we had...and they even send you a reminder when your 1-year warranty period is about to expire, along with a list of things you need to remember to do as a homeowner. Couldn't be more pleased with our building experience.

Truly the best building experience we've EVER had!! Vantage came through for us every step of the way and did what they could to build us an amazing home that we plan on staying in forever. From the sales experience (thank you, Dori!), to the building process, to closing, we worked with top notch professionals who knew exactly what they were doing! Even the trades we met along the way were professional, courteous, and left a pristine construction site each day they left. We would absolutely build with Vantage again!!

Vantage Homes builds a fantastic product, uses great subcontractors and treats everyone with the utmost respect. Vantage is a builder with a strong community presence who continues to support military and other charities in the Colorado Springs region. Absolute class!

Below Average builder. Big problem with Corporate culture does not want to improve nor make customer satisfaction correct... Head office sent me a letter wanting ME to find out what was causing ALL the problems with the carpet. They do not want to honor their warranty they have IT backwards Im the customer the carpet should have been replaced within the first 30 days since poor quality run direct from the mill. Save your self some trouble FIND a BETTER BUILDER that cares about customer service..

- BAD: The "first day" - upgraded carpet shreaded during the first cleaning ."Floor Craft" is doing the warrenty work and waiting for - "Shaw" to authorize Warrenty repair or replacement has been very slow already waiting for more than 5 weeks already... Atlantic heating is behind the times as is installed - ventilation system IS very noisy seems to be below building code specitifacation of 1.5 Sones.

GOOD: + Fit and finish. + Energy star rated fiberglass front entry doors,.Cabinets. + R 15 blown in fibeglass sidewall cavity fill. + Concrete work. Structure of shell.

++ GOOD: Plumbing, Kwal Paint. sheetrock work , plastering. Interior doors.

++ ATRUIM 9000HS Certified 12.1 M90 CLR Argon gas filled thermal windows. (not low E)

++ EXCELLENT: Better than just black paper and cement based stucco... Builder provides AS an upgrade.....+ Tyvek house wrap, ++ acrylic based stucco. + HE hot water heater. ++ HE gas furnance.

Suggested improvement: + Insualted garage door option.. Hot water system circulation pump-timer option.

Process very good delivered on time. Builder needs to make small adustments within "quality culture" Ie carpets, specs of ventilations design, garage door insulation, Hot water circulation.

.BEWARE: Vantage "upgraded carpet" lvl 1 provided by Shaw and Floor Craft should be reevaluated by the builders ...competitors offers better quality carpet than Vantage upgrades as "standard"...in this home failure during the first day of occupancy is a headache you should not have to deal with...so either get a credit and install the carpeting your self or be very careful what you select for flooring.. almost 11 months later still having problems with the carpet. Suggest find a different builder.

I felt very disrespected when I walked into this model home as the woman there made it very clear to me that she thought I couldn t afford these kind of homes.

Had our doubts when Jose and Shrieka told me they wanted to list my house so high, however he came prepared and had supporting evidence to convence me. Two weeks in I told him i wanted to drop the price and he said give it a few more days. On day 18 there was a bid war between two buyers and we end up making more than I would have ever thought. He took care of us, ran open houses every weekend, provided statistical data each week, posted our listing on multiple sights which led to an average of over 2 showings a day for those 19 days. I give them 5 stars as they took care of everything from day one and trust me I'm not the easiest customer to work for.

I love when I get to work with Vantage Homes! Their entire team is professional and kind, plus they make an excellent product!

We were very impressed with the total experience with Vantage. Dori was wonderful and always steering us in the right direction. There are always issues that arise in a transaction, but they were handled professionally at every level. Our home is beautiful, and I would recommend Vantage without reservation.
