Incompetence at this level could be funny but.....First door was painted on the wrong side second door had the doorknob hole drilled out of line of deadbolt. When the third door was sent the wind blew the window insert and smashed it all over our deck (requiring the deck to be replaced)so when the door leaked and flooded the room below, Vanderlaan finally replaced the entire garden door (in the process scratching the railing). Here I am 4 years later still dealing with a door that doesn t keep rain out and a customer service department that wants to slather caulking all over the door instead of just supplying customers with doors that work.

Sent there by our builder and at first all was great and then were told that some products not available in Canada!! Found them at home hardware! Also is costing me due to delays on windows! Going to stick to home hardware now.

I ordered metal roofing from Vanderlaans to do a tiny house project. Not only did they send incorrect amounts of steel (forgot a ridge cap, sent too many sheets), they also overcharged me $572.08 which was nearly half of my entire bill. Had they not sent enough ridge cap, I would have NEVER found out they overcharged me so much. The customer service in dealing with all of this was also appalling. My family has lived in Carrying Place and Trenton all their lives and we will be letting many builders in the area know about this. ALWAYS ask for itemized invoices from Vanderlaans if you need to work with them. I was not originally sent an itemized receipt, until I complained about the order. Terrible, unprofessional experience. Something fishy is going on here and I hope they deal with it promptly.
