Folks, I have bitten my tongue for two years now in regards to the Vancouver Pride Society and the INCLUSION of the police department in the pride parade and the rederic behind it. I am appalled by their response, and the announcement today not to include uniformed police in the pride parade. This movement was pushed forth a few years ago by a group that has no association to pride in any manner. They used our forum to bring their protest to the forefront and pride society's have bowed to them. Pride is about INCLUSION of all people and groups NOT EXCLUSION. I have talked with several individuals over the last few months that hold the same opinion that I do. I think it is time to push back in protest to the Vancouver Pride society and their outlook in regards to this matter.

In the coming months I will be moving forward in protest in this regard. I will have a web page up by the end of the year to start a movement against The Vancouver Pride society, including but not limited to attending their meeting in the new year, setting up a petition and if required holding a protest at the Vancouver Pride 2018 in order to stop the parade from commencing. If Black Lives Matters can stop a parade and impose their protest on any Pride festivity it is time that we, as part of the community stand up and push back against them in the same matter.

Pride is and has always been about INCLUSION, not choosing a group or groups to exclude from the event.

Enough is enough and the time for being passive is over. Lets stand up and be heard!!!!

Unfortunately, as a queer person, I feel the pride parade is turning to be not an inclusive event really. I mean its only for people showing off and the community celebrating this. Low profile people or people doing real difference in community don't feel included, which is not suppose to be the case in such an event.

Honestly, im not in the least bit concerned with what someone who lives in Alberta, who votes 1 star on everything and idolizes trump, complains about parking tickets. Thinks about pride while he was on vacation and got triggered.

Pride is awesome. Love yourselves, and your neighbor. Get out of here Grandpa your looking for /r/oldpeoplefacebook or /trumpgret
