Complete bulk and produce sections for shopping zero waste/package free and for generally trying to consume less plastic. There is also plenty of space available in the community gardens and we really appreciated the bulk potting soil while the garden center was open in spring!

I don't shop here regularly but when I do go, I always find what I want or need and love the atmosphere as well. The only reason I knocked one star off is due to the chilly, detached attitudes of most of the staff. It seems they only have the time of day for people who KNOW health foods and already live the lifestyle. I make sure to do my research before going so I can avoid asking for help.

Food made from scratch, ingredients you can trust, friendly people who are happy to see you. Warm, friendly, inviting and owned by its community with everyone being welcome to shop. All retailers should strive for their levels of knowledge and service.

Great place to buy gluten free items, including local brands such as Bittersweet Bakery. Friendly and helpful employees that actually know what they're talking about when you have a question. Not a huge place with thousands upon thousands of options, but what the store lacks in size is easily made up by quality.

Great selections from which to choose in the grocery and deli. Awesome hot lunch buffet & salad bar. There is also cozy seating in a beautiful atrium with a huge ficus tree. My kids think it is a huge treat to stay and eat hot lunch in the atrium! Love it!

Great selection of organic foods or dairy-free/gluten-free alternatives. We love their selection of dairy free ice cream (especially the cashew milk ice cream). There also seems to be a good variety in their cold-serve/deli section and the salad I tried there (the sweet potato/onion salad) was delicious.

Clean, lots of different/healthy items and a nice layout. Really enjoyed my first visit here and will be back soon! The ladies at the cashier area were very helpful and really made the experience even better! Great customer service! (Late-evening 7pm-ish Thursday 10/10)

Good:

Good:

Plenty of selection. This is where I get my bread for my famous French toast.

Bad:

$ tag, unless you are a member can get steep.

While shopping in the bulk aisle, I lifted the handle that activates the millet to come out of the bin. My plastic bag slipped from the shoot and several pounds of millet fell to floor. I caused a HUGE mess but Cindy sweetly cleaned up my mess and politely engaged me in conversation. She is a very kind Soul!

Everything is good except their schedule. Prices suck, but you're not going to do much better in MN for their selection. WHY would you close at 8 on Fri, and Sat if your turning away multiple customers every evening? There's always people trying to make it, and they turn you away. Maybe in the winter that makes sense, but during spring/summer they could be making more, and have happier customers.

I have been a co-op member for about 5 years but have shopped at Valley Natural for over 25 years. The new location is much large, but further away from my house and they feature more items than the previous location. They have a fantastic deli and lots of meats you won't find anywhere else.

wonderful deli with many tasty dishes. Have terrific meat-especially love the ham without nitrates-such good flavor. Fresh veges and fruits-yes, does cost a bit more than the local chain discount stores-but-what price is your health worth? I have fibromyalgia, etc and do much better eating foods without all those awful chemicals. Plus-very fresh and can buy local. Have been helped a lot by "Chip" in the vitamin section-very knowledgeable! I would like different kinds of prepared soups. Also, I always check the dates of the prepared foods as some are there much longer than I like-definately not fresh! Otherwise, a great place to visit/shop. And the help IS helpful.
